I was trying to take a fresh picture of Bob in his window, checking out the new snow (which clipped the goddamned power again last night … I digress) but he wouldn’t hold still:
(I haven’t spent enough time on the new boards to figure out the picture thing. So you’re getting links )
This is my sweet Velcro. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to him in early September after a short, sudden illness. I was gutted and still miss him terribly.
Rocket J. Squirrel was not happy as a solo cat , and so I started looking at other cats sooner than I might have without him. Juno is almost 6 months old and I adopted her in October. These two get along fantastically. It’s ridiculous and delightful.
Rocket and Juno are gorgeous!
Sorry about Velcro but so glad you had him.
Hey, I just have to say that I love that pic as an artistic creation! This was so much the opposite of “posed”; this one was “Bob as you really experience him”. Just bouncing around, wide-eyed and curious and lovable!
I agree. That was much more artistic and evocative than a posed picture. Almost a photobomb. I guess that makes it a photoBob! (Photobomb with a stuffy nose.)
We have a greenbelt behind my house, lined with fences on either side, runs about 1 mile or so, full of deer, raccoons, possums and stuff, perfect to take a leashless Luna out for sniff and barks.
We are staying with my BiL for a few days as our house is being painted so major interior fumes. My work is now regularly interupted with wearing out the little (now 34lb) fella.
I fixed up a nice memory foam pillow in front of the window with the curtain pulled back and everything. So of course, she sits on a pile of books facing the other way. (BTW, she is wearing her BirdsBeSafe collar. In addition to no more dead/live birds being brought into the house, I can spot her half a block away.)
Then I went in the kitchen to make some coffee and when I came back… “I guess Mommy’s ideas aren’t always dumb.”
Pictures of Luna are early Christmas presents for all of us :skritches:
Happy critters on cushions!
Nice to see.
Petless - just went through whole thread.
That killer rabbit wigging out on the X-mas mat - awesomeness.
“The blinds started it! I didn’t do nuttin’!”
Luna is just TOO cute!! (Everyone must click on that picture in order to get the full view – that’s just a cropped preview!)
What’s with all the pictures up there – including both of mine (169 and 170) – that just say “URL signature expired”?
Those things are wonderful – but how do you get it to stay on the bed?
HA! That is definitely a problem. I have a queen-size bed and the poncho liner is big enough to extend across the whole width of the bed. And even though I sleep alone, I sleep on one side. So I anchor the poncho liner with two pillows at the foot of the bed on the other side from where I sleep. It would probably work better with anvils… but the pillows do a pretty good job of holding it in place. Sometimes there’s a cat sleeping on top of me and that helps, too.
