Not only handsome but noble!
Here are a few of my new baby Zeb and my big guy Huck. They would play tug 24 hours a day if they could!
Beautiful! Is Huck a Great Dane?
Those are absolutely lovely dogs!
I agree – beautiful, playful doggies! What are the breeds? I would put the big guy as a Great Dane, and the baby as a German Shepherd puppy.
Yes, Huck is a Great Dane (1-1/2 yo) and Zeb is a German Shepherd (4 mo).
Sweet things!
In the front Pelusa Wakako Carpinche Nonna Pocacosa, we found her as a baby abandoned next to the highway by some heartless person, we thought there were Capybaras (carpinchos in the local dialect) in the are and so we called her “Carpincho”, but then it turned out that
We were going to give her for adoption but she stole our hearts (and our food!) so she stayed.
The elegant kitty in the background is Diana, goddess of the hunt, she has only one name and that’s all she needs to be queen of the house.
This is my all-time favorite dog photo, from long ago. Bubba in puppyhood and me, grooving together on a summer afternoon.
Sometimes during stressful moments I bring this image to mind, and it has a calming effect.
Awwww. Is that mid-slurp, or is Bubba using your face for a pillow?
He’s cheeking me.
Easter Sunday I was sitting on our front porch enjoying the warm spring sun with my little buddy. The next day he had a health emergency (he had several health situations thru his 11-year life), and by the afternoon we had to put him down. I cried for more than a week solid - I did not know I had that many tears.
Several weeks later, a friend of my wife, who heard about our loss, suggested re-homing a dog her adult son was getting ready to surrender to the animal shelter, and would we want to take a look? We did, and brought home this pup. She needed/needs a lot of attention, but has gotten over most of her most irritating behaviors. She is super affectionate and high-energy, but so far she has won our hearts (and is healing them at the same time). I do not understand the forces at work here, but sometimes you just gotta go with it…
George is my COVID Cat. I was so mad at hubs for needlessly getting COVID that I put a deposit down on a Maine Coon kitten. I have no idea what the hell I was thinking, kittens are a pain in the ass.
George at 12 weeks. George at 14 weeks. George is going to be a big boy
And Maine Coons continue growing to a later age than most cats.
We’ve thought of smuggling in a suitably swaddled Pluto in a stroller.
So, the boyz are taking a little afternoon nap…
@wolfpup thanks for inviting me to the thread, I came to find a pic of your rainbow dog. I did and I cried at the lovely tribute and raw pain it tried to hide. After that, it took a few days to go through all the wonderful pics and and smiles I got, so that was good. Plus, I have a new kitten and you said I could post all the pics I wanted. Some people just don’t know to be careful about what they ask for!
Thank you, JaneDoe, that was very kind and sweet of you to say. I scrolled through all the pictures of George and I must say that he is one super-cute kittie! Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean about smiles. Every time I see the pictures in this thread (or the Weekend Puppy Play Dates thread) I find I have a smile on my face! Puppies and kittens are good for the soul, even when they’re all grown up.
I still think you were more than gracious to not name baby George “Fauci”. Would have been only fair. Too bad the boys don’t like each other though.
