Is Vash lying actually on Cocoa’s tail there? I’d be annoyed too.
And what a big handsome boy he has growed up to be.
Blue-eyed dogs have such a piercing stare.
… and speaking of piercing stares, here’s Monkey, silently informing me that no, he’s not giving up his spot in “my” chair:
Yes, and it looks to me like his tail is a bit fluffed (hard to tell; it’s always a little fluffier than Vash’s).
Chloe is a cute girl~I hope she got a long hug a few seconds later. :skritches:
Welcome to the SDMB, Chloé!
My pleasure. What a sweet face!
It was a long day yesterday. She slept through the night last night. This morning, she is Mrs Magill’s shadow.
Amazingly, the rabbit has been pretty cool about this lifestyle change.
The rabbit is still not sure about Chloé. He did not want to leave my office this morning.
She had her first vet visit today. Amazingly, Buttercup is nearly twice her size.
Are we no longer allowed to post videos?
“Can’t embed video in post” - I could’ve sworn I’ve posted videos here before. There are important bone and squirrel issues to address.
Short version: video posting still works, but you have to be quick about it. Discourse has a bug where it’ll give you an error once the links have been converted to the embedded version.
The workaround is to write your post, but don’t put in the YouTube links yet. When you’re ready to submit, paste the links and immediately hit the reply button.
Also, your existing links won’t work now that Discourse has seen them. But you can tweak them slightly to get them going by appending a “&1”, “&2”, etc. to the end. Working versions:
Took Kizzy to her favorite pet friendly brewery last night. The bartenders and regulars know her and give her so much love!
What happened to One, Two, Five, and Six?
I hope they also have an excellent lap to be close to!
Seven and Trei are two of the neighborhood cats (curtesy of a hoarding situation in the house behind mine) I’ve moved inside over the last few years. At one point, there were 12 black cats, among others. I had a black cat named Will and I started naming some of them in reference to him. The ones I fed were Mini-Me, Junior, Trei, Four of the Perpetual Wound and Pente. Mini-Me and Four disappeared. Jun was killed by a pack of dogs one night. That’s when I brought her twin sister Trei inside. (They were identical - I only knew that it was Trei who had survived because she is a paw-dipper when it comes to drinking water.) Last year I brought in Pente but decided that name really didn’t suit her and changed it to Seven. I believe that Seven is Trei’s mother.
There are a lot of descendants of the original 12 in the area. Fortunately, the hoarding situation was taken care of last year. The only two left that I feed are a grey tabby brother and sister pair. They live in the shelter on my porch. I put them in my spare room if the weather is too bad in winter. Trei and Seven loved being inside and adapted easily when I brought them in permanently. Buddy and BJ hate it, so for now they remain outside.
Thank you for saving cats!
