Squee.
That is one large bundle of adorable for her age. Going to be a big girl when she’s grown.
Errrmm … so your kitten looks like “See more on Facebook – Log in, or create new account”?
Even as a dog lover dog, I like looking at cute kittens. But hell will freeze over before I have a Facebook account. Just a friendly note that an image is much more accessible if you just upload it to Imgur.
Oooh – thank you! Gorgeous kitty duly appreciated! Sending remote scritches to Pixel over the internet!
That is a beautiful baby.
You might be able to close that window and see the pictures. Sometimes there’s an x on it somewhere and sometimes that works.
But getting them right in the thread if possible is far preferable, IMO.
– another person with no facebook account.
(Looks like a tabby to me, by the way, not a tortoise-shell. Or does she have orange on her other side?)
I’ve mentioned (here?) that I raise a species pf rodent called African soft-furred rats. They are neither rats, nor mice, cannot interbreed with either, and have some curious characteristics of their own.
Mine are, um, semi-pets. They’re kinda livestock (bred to be feeders) but raising them for better temperament and interesting colors became a hobby in its own right.
Anyway, with that background, last night I finally got a semi-decent picture of one of my current pups (eyes opened several days ago, now mobile and exploring the world) plus a bonus shot of most of the adults posing for an album cover:
Cute. If I had to guess, I’d think they were gerbils.
D’oh! I know that used be the case on Twitter, but for some reason* I didn’t see the “X” to close the popup on Facebook.
Anyway, imgur is the much preferred way to post pictures.
* Caesars. Vodka, clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, horseradish, Mott’s Caesar rimmer, and a dash more vodka in case there wasn’t enough.
Adorable! I’ll never live long enough to have all the pets I want, and now another critter is added to the list.
A brief summary here:
https://wirralwhiskers.co.uk/articles/information-about-multimammate-mice-african-soft-furred-rats/
They’re not domesticated, so they’re far more skittish than, say, “fancy” rats - which make excellent (if unfortunately short-lived) pets - but ASFs are fascinating to watch, especially once you get to know their little ways and can observe how they maintain their societies.
What a couple of cutie patooties!!!
Happy birthday to the grown up big girl!
OOOhhhh!! Cuteness overdose! Skritches, and kisses, too!
We just found out what breed off cat our little fuzzy runt is, and let’s just say that the fuzz is staying but the “runt” almost certainly is not. She is a Norwegian Forest Cat, and the females of the species weigh from seven pounds to seventeen pounds. I am currently trying to explain to our other two cats why it is essential to their well being to be nice to the newcomer.
Wow. That’s like discovering you’ve adopted a baby lion.
Nah. They want to be sure the newcomer knows who’s in charge. We bought a Maine Coon a few years back and our resident cat used to bounce his head off the floor when he got too out of hand. Now that he’s much bigger than her, he still believes she can bounce his head off the floor, she rules the roost in this house.
