Peyton Manning to Broncos, Tebow to be traded

1 4th rounder-that’s it? Unbelievable.

If the trade happens, it would be Tebow and a seventh-round pick to the Jets, and fourth- and sixth-round picks to Denver. Right now it may not happen because the teams can’t agree what will happen with $5 million of advance salary Tebow is owed.

For 2nd-round pick Taylor Mays, the 49ers got back three scratch-it tickets and a partially-used Subway gift card.

Jesus gets 10% of that.

Sure, that might not sound like much, but Jesus saves.

On NFL network Charlie Casserly was saying that all NFL contracts are easily available to all other NFL teams (sounded like an online database or something), and you’re expected to review someone’s contract before you agree to a trade for them. Of course it’s early, and we’ve yet to hear the whole story.

Yes. Something important to keep in mind: we’re talking about a trade between the team that thought it was a good idea to hire Eric Mangini and the team that thought it was a good idea to hire Josh McDaniels.

I could see Denver wanting Manning if if was healthy. But simply cannot believe a guy who has had 4 neck surgeries, one that cost him an entire season, is gonna hold up. I would love to see it, mind you. I think Manning is classy guy. But it would not surprise me if he is out for the season after 3 or 4 games.

But Tebow to the Jets??? I like Tebow. He’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys, but NY is just wrong! Tebow should be in Jacksonville. He wouldn’t win there, but he would put asses in the seats.

As someone said earlier, I think converting him to a different position makes sense. He’s still a young guy. He won’t bitch about it and will work harder than anybody else. And when he’s running with the ball he seems kinda hard to bring down. And for a 4th or 5th round pick, what’s the harm in trying?

The Broncos-Jets deal is reportedly done for real this time.

Jets fan here.
this is fucking STUPID.
the countdown to another Jets season ending in implosion and disaster begins…

The Jets agreed to pay half of the disputed $5 million in compensation. It took the teams all day to think of splitting it down the middle.

My 2 cents which probably isn’t worth even 1 cent:

  • I don’t even understand the Jets even wanting Tebow in the first place. Sanchez has his faults but he is young. He has more pro QB talent. Maybe they want Tebow to push Sanchez and get him more focused. That’s an expensive bet.

  • Tebow and Sanchez in NYC could be a winning combination for both of them. They could be best buddies. Sanchez just has Tebow send him all the women that he refuses to screw and everyone is happy. Sanchez wears a Tebow mask while he’s banging them. That doesn’t mean more wins for the Jets but at least the QB’s would have a good thing going.

  • For some odd reason the Jet’s owners are jealous of Jim Dolan (who runs the Knicks) for having the crown as to how to screw up a franchise. They all like to accumulate overrated talent and then do as little as they can with it.

  • Tebow’s religiousness isn’t going to play well in New York. Really, there is a lot more to do and be challenged by in NY than religious convictions. Nobody give a rat’s ass about someones religion unless it is some Hassidic Jew in Brooklyn that sees someone like Tebow as the Devil personified.

  • Intellectually challenged Plaxico Burris now looks like a genius for getting away from the Jets. Others will follow.

  • I can’t wait for the video of Sanchez wearing a Tebow mask while banging a Jet’s cheerleader, while Tebow is sucking Rex Ryan’s dick while Ryan is caressing his wife’s foot that just happens to be rubbing the back of the guy that is giving it to Tebow in his ass.

New Yorkers, get ready for your local sports radio to suddenly be filled with callers with Southern accents, and the comments sections of your papers to be calling for the head of Mark Sanchez.

There is no happier man in sports right now than John Elway. Maybe John Fox. The yoke around their necks is gone. And by that I don’t mean Tim Tebow, but Tim Tebow’s fans.

I think they’re counting on Tebow to replace Brad Smith, not challenge Mark Sanchez. That’s what you call lowering your expectations.

Aww. Now we’ll never now whether Tebow knows how to Ram it.

This, right here, is why Tebow can’t right now be judged for his actual playing performances. His existence has become a referendum not on football or playing style or talent, but on religion, and his fans will not let people ignore him because of it.

If New Yorkers are good at anything, it’s ignoring religious people. It’s a survival skill here.

That’s a skill that’s about to be put to the test. Trust me.

Tebow’s fans will have to do something more annoying than shouting on subway cars during rush hour or camping out near the 7 train in Times Square and preaching for 24 hours a day just to get noticed.

I thought he should have been picked up by the Saints.

Seriously, though – by tomorrow people will be able to buy Tebow jerseys, I’m guessing.

Oh wait, I was wrong.

Watch for the bandwaggoners!
