Philly dinner at Morimoto? anyone?

It was fabulous.

I and Verrain had the ramen. We had to find out what eight-dollar ramen tasted like, and it’s light years away from the stuff you get eight-for-a-buck. It tasted like real chicken soup. If you put a matzo ball and some carrots in there, it could pass for my Aunt Mary’s soup, if my Aunt Mary had been Japanese.

I had the lobster salad, which came dressed as a lobster. It was very good, although a nasty headache had set in and I lost my appetite. :frowning: There was also much sushi, and Verrain had a seafood platter that smelled divine.

The booths changed color, so the whole effect was not unlike a disco. The disco effect was heightened by booming techo music.

The whole experience was wonderful, headache aside. The company, as always, was marvelous, and I think it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all.

Robin, who got to Central Philly via Bucks County, and if Airman gets wind of this, well, I know where some of you people sleep!

I typed up a recap and added in some pics I took. Something wasn’t set right on my camera so several pictures didn’t turn out. Sigh someday I’ll learn how to work this thing.

Um, Frank, honey, it’s ramen soup, not robin. Just like you get at the supermarket, except it’s not.

Good job on the overview, and the pics weren’t too bad, all things considered. Don’t worry about not getting a pic of me, they don’t usually come out too well, anyway. (I’m not incredibly photogenic).

Thanks again for getting us all together for this, and for making this a truly memorable wedding gift for Verrain and I.
