Pick 3 cars. Only 3 cars...

2012 Vespa GTS 300
1965 Vespa Sprint 150
2012 Porsche 911, any ol’ model will do.

I agree with the “EMP-proof good old diesel” angle, but, playing by the rules…

Vehicle 1;
Ariel Atom V8, my “Sunny Day Fun Car”

Vehicle 2; Second-Generation Dodge Ramcharger, one of my college freinds had one, and the thing was a BEAST, we went everywhere in it, tough, reliable, and just plain huge, with the rear seat down (IIRC, the rear seat could be folded down) it was possible to camp out in the thing, only drawback was it’s fuel mileage (or utter lack thereof), if we were lucky, it got 12 MPG…, but oh the POWER from that Mopar 318…

Swap a diesel in that thing and it’d be perfect… wait a tic… I change my mind, vehicle 2 would be some form of large diesel powered SUV, swap in a biodiesel/ Straight Vegetable Oil kit, and it’d my do-everything vehicle, no stupid electronic crap in it, simple, could be repaired with a hammer…

Vehicle 3; tough call, but it’d come down to either a mid-to-late '80s Porsche 911, or a Ferrari F40, the dream cars of my childhood and teen years

New Aston Martin DB12.

1937 Mercedes 540K Roadster.

1938 Talbot Lago Teardrop Coupe.

One new Honda Accord Sedan with all the options will do for me. If you insist on three, a Bugatti Veyron Vitesse and a 2001 Honda Insight with auto transmission.

Ford F150 4X4 extended cab long bed.
1965 GTO hardtop 4spd. tri-power
Volvo wagon, whatever they call that AWD V70 xc or something?

Yamaha V-max
Lotus Europa
A-team Van

  1. 1939 Delahaye Coupe
  2. 1965 Citroen DS-21 Sedan
  3. 1963 Studebaker Avanti Sedan

I’ll take a Firebird for my “classic” (1978 Trans Am Special Edition… I think it’s the model that both a friend and The Bestest Ex had; both cars were in horrible need of paint jobs but handled oh-so-sweetly), a 911 (exact specifications TBD) for my “don’t drool on it” and a replacement Yaris with the big motor for everyday use, please.

Gee, guess I’m not planning on driving the family anywhere, huh?

I don’t drive, but I watch Top Gear.

So I only need one car (257mph; 0-60 in 2.5 seconds):

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

65 Vette split back
Any year or model Porsche 911 from 2000 on up
2012 Ford pick up with the best towing package

Thank you very much.

'70 Plymouth Road Runner GTX - for fun

'14 Dodge RAM Laramie Longhorn - for practicallity (and fun)

'15 Volvo XC90 - as my daily driver

Thanks!

I’ll take one of each of the following.

a) Jeep Grand Wagoneer
b) 2014 Subaru Forester XT
c) Porsche 959 in Group B rally configuration.

The V12 engine wasn’t out in '67. I think it didn’t show until the 70s.

My list?

I used to own three Porsches - a 1983 944, 911SC, and 928. I’d like to do that again but move it up a few years:

1989 Porsche 944 S2
1989 Porsche 928 S4
1989 Porsche 911 cabriolet, each in black.

2009 Ford Crown Victoria LX - what I currently drive, a few years newer. Hey, I just like it!

1956 Ford F-100 - truckin’, in style.

1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000QV - anyone who grew up in the 70s or 80s knows, unequivocally, that it’s the greatest car ever made.

Why thank you. You’re too kind.

A Ferrari 599 Aperta for fun, please. It has an absolutely timeless beauty to it.
A Tesla Model S (you’re going to throw in solar cells for my roof too, right). It’s as quick as a Corvette, roomy enough for the whole family and I’ll never have to worry about peak oil.
A Toyota Sienna for camping, trips to Costco, the lumber yard, everything else.

Tesla Model S.

Tesla Model X (when available).

2015 Dodge Charger RT to cover road trips until Tesla’s supercharger network is complete.

Tesla Roadster
2015 Ford F350 extended cab long bed diesel
(Am I paying for gas, or are you? If I am, some sort of hatchback sedan-y thing, I’d have to research to decide. If you are, maybe a Ferrari.)

Tesla Model S

After that, I don’t care much about make and model, so give me:

The top rated 1/2 ton pickup for the current year.

The top rated hybrid AWD SUV for the current year.

Porsche 911 GT2 RS
Porsche Panamera Executive Turbo S
Mercedes-AMG G63

So what happens if I want to take a driving vacation in Australia or England? Do you ship the car over and convert it to right-side driver?
