My husband is almost 30 and still breaks out pretty bad. He also has tried every medication on the market, with very little improvement. He tried cortisone shots, dermabrasion, acne peels, etc., again to no avail. The acne gets better in the summer (after he sun tans his face), but flares up again terribly during the winter.
Anyway, this is supposed to be gross-out pimple stories, so I have one that happened to me a couple of years ago. I developed one on the side of my cheek that just wouldn’t go away. I tried acne creams and even my husband’s Retin-A, but this thing took a couple of months to go away. In the meantime, it would spontaneously pop about once a week, usually when I was in public or something, and I wouldn’t notice until somebody would ask me why there was blood on the side of my face.
