Since we’re talking clothes now, I will say that I am all in green today - very matchy, which I normally am not. And the pants came with this green and white scarf thing around the waist, and I feel like a pirate.
I was just looking at some of the summer skirts - so pretty! Unfortunately, a lot of them fit to the knee, and since I am short, they hit below the knee and look awkward on me. Darn it!
I almost misspelled awkward back there. That would have been awkward.

Alas, Albany is not “stopping by” from southern MD. In fact, not much of anything is “stopping by” from southern MD. Which is probably why no one stops by here.
For the record, I rarely wear skirts or dresses, hence I rarely wear panty hose. But for the right occasion and if I’m asked nice, I’ll get gussied up. Lucky for me, no one asks nice… 
Ex, I’m not snubbing you. But I’m bracing myself for the potential disappointment should you leave our merry band. 'Cause I’m all sensitive and stuff.
Oh, and I need opinions. Should this be my new look for the spring?

Hey, since we seem to have shoe-knowledgeable folks here, I have a shoe issue. I need summer-shoe recommendations. I have really bad circulation so if I wear open-toe sandle type things to the office (where the A/C makes it cold), my toes turn blue and they get so cold that it’s painful. Not fun. So I usually don’t wear skirts in the summer, but there’re so many nice summer skirts that I hate missing out. What can I wear in the summer that would look nice for an business/office-type job that would still keep my feet semi-warmish? And I do have thigh-high stockings AND garter belts that I don’t mind wearing even in the summer because even that thin layer is better than nothing on my poor cold feet. So shoes that would go with summer skirts and stockings are good… but I need suggestions that would look nice. Thanks!
I’m not snubbing anyone, it’s just that Albany definitely is not drop in for me either. I’m clear out here in the Northwest.
Be assured, if any of the rest of you decide to visit my fair state, I would make a point of trying to meet up w/you too! But really, how many of you come up here?
I don’t really travel all that much. Frankly, I don’t get up to Seattle much and it’s only 30 or 35 miles away from me. I’m just a homebody I guess.

The skirt in itself isn’t horrid. I’d never wear it, but I can see someone else pulling it off. But with the chartreuse fishnets? Jesus!
Those Moo Shoes don’t even look comfortable.
taxi, how about an open-toe pump something like these. You can find them with more narrow “toe” openings but they still have the rest of the shoe and aren’t as open as a sandal. Just a thought.

LifeOnWry I’ll prolly be in khakis and a pullover shirt if we meet tomorrow night being as that’s what I plan to wear to the rehearsal dinner. Heh! Rehearsal dinner sounds like I’m gonna practice my eatin’. Like I need to practice doing that. If we were to meet up Saturday night I’d be in jeans, a pullover shirt and sneaks. I ain’t real fancy like and stuff.
My new computer is here! Dang! I ordered it Tuesday evening. I got an email early this morning saying it was shipped out late Wednesday. Here it is! I didn’t order a lot of extras with it. Matter of fact about the only things I ordered that were not included in the base price were Microsoft Home Office (a must!) and a floppy drive cause I wanted one. A flat panel monitor came with it and there were some automatic memory and hard drive upgrades with the model I ordered. I can’t believe it’s here. Gives me something to do when I get back Sunday. Oh wait, ACBG will be around. He’s supposed to be what I “do” Sunday. Hmmmm… and I got a meeting Monday night. Ok, maybe I’ll set it up Tuesday. Besides, I need to clean up some err… “stuff” on this here old puter first. There are one or two things that may not be suitable for others to view.

Yes…of course…but when you describe the classes, it sounds more interesting than I would expect. Of course, I’m dance-challenged and wouldn’t have thought to be interested in bellydancing.
As for fashion, I am also of the prefer-never-to-wear-pantyhose persuasion. So I usually wear pants. On the rare occasions when I wear a skirt to work, I’m teased about actually having legs.
The ruffly skirt is (how can I put this delicately?) ICKKKK. But I’m sure there’s someone out there who can make it look not awful. I am not that person.

No shoe or fashion suggestions - sorry taxi and LifeOnWry. I’ve been procrastinating on getting new shoes for work. I’ve been wearing pretty much the same 3 pairs for a couple years and they’re starting to look ratty.
This evening’s dinner turned out to be pierogies with spaghetti sauce and extra cheese. Quite tasty. I’m contemplating additional courses, especially dessert.
