Y’know, generally when a poster says something that rubs me the wrong way, it doesn’t create a lasting impression on me. So posters really have to do something especially ridiculous or make a habit of saying irritating shit.

This pit thread is way overdue. The first time AB caught my attention (and kept it) was his thread about WeatherTech:
The first post seemed fine. But after someone pointed out he had reversed which models were related (gee, maybe he did that when placing the order, too…), it went downhill. Knowing what I know now of him and his snide, contemptuous attitude towards … well, everyone … I think that said attitude probably came through loud and clear in his emails and calls with customer service.
But none of that was quite enough to be memorable. No, that came after posters suggested he contact their various social media accounts* and a WeatherTech rep created an account and posted in that thread TWICE to help AB … AND AB REFUSES.
Someone reaches out to you on a completely unrelated message board to help fix your problem that you extensively whined about and suddenly it’s all, “no way, it’s too late, they shoulda helped me earlier!”? Fucking bullshit, man. How dare they try to solve his problem? That would invalidate his OP and that can NEVER happen!

That thread is, I suspect, a good representation of how he interacts with the world. His default communications mode is sneering condescension, and if he gets the slightest disagreement or pushback, he cranks it up to 11.
The Pit threads he’s started all have the same monotonous theme: everyone’s a fucking idiot except me.
Wow. I’m amazed he wasn’t pitted just for that.
Weather Tech won themselves a few new customers in that thread (myself included). I found that amusing. I’ve never seen a pit thread about a company end up helping the sales of the company being pitted, or at least not that quickly and transparently.
I called him out on it on the second page of the thread. Of course, AB quickly figured out the real source of my problem – I can’t read. :rolleyes:
