You know what? I hadn’t thought of Valentine’s day at all. Honestly, I really want to see Kathryn again, so I picked the earlier date.
I suppose the Dopefest is not about me in particular, so if you guys would prefer another date, maybe you could do it without me. I do have quite a bit of alcohol in me at the moment… Maybe this is not a good time for me to decide such things.
Tell you what. Why doesn’t one of you (who actually knows where this place is–Le Sang?) call Gullifty’s and see if you can make reservations for 10-12 people on that Friday (under the name of Cecil Adams). If we don’t have that many, too bad for them, I guess. I’ll personally tip well to compensate if we have a lot of no-shows. If we can’t get in, I can reschedule for a later date (as much as I’d hate to).
Like I said, whatever’s good for Jester is good for me. But, I would like to second that motion that it not be the week of Valentine’s Day. Not that the holiday means much to me, but my girlfriend’s birthday is the day after.
OK, let’s clarify. The 9th is not the week of Valentine’s Day, it’s the weekend before. If you guys are sure this makes the meeting too difficult to make, then we could push to the 23th.
So far, though, I’ve heard nothing that would rule out the 9th for anybody.
Oh, and if nobody else can pick up Guin, I suppose I could. Yes, I’m a doormat. Please walk all over me.

Order of business:
The date/time/location was set on Feb. 9, 7:00 P.M. at Gullifty’s, but 2sense indicated the 9th might be a problem. Do you guys want to go with the 23rd instead?
Secondly, it sounds like Guin could still use a ride. Is anyone coming in from the vicinity of North Hill who could provide her a lift? It seems to be a lot of extra driving for me if I have to.
If you were just down the road, I’d wouldn’t have a problem, but if you’re as much as an hour one way (like I think Le Sang said), that’s up to four hours of driving for me: two to pick you up, two to take you back. Maybe more if the traffic is bad. I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it, but it would be a bit inconvenient. If I misinterpreted and it’s an hour both ways, than I wouldn’t bother asking anybody else.
Of course, if you’re even half as fun as Medea’s Child…
I really don’t see too much wrong with the 9th. It is, as has been stated, the week before Valentine’s Day, which is widely known as…well, pretty much a normal weekend. But, if anybody can’t come due to that, the 23rd is fine by me.
