Woo hoo! That “Aieeee!” turned out to just be a bit of gas. I’ve got everything under control.
Now, Montfort, when you watch the last 12 episodes, you are going to start them up at noon, and either watch them straight through, or at least wait until the corresponding time to watch each episode, right?

I just realized that I made a ridiculous comment above. I was going to ask what I should do, since I live in Indiana, which doesn’t have Daylight Saving Time. But then I realized that I doubt that Jack Bauer will be switching his watch at any point, since it all takes place in one day, and there’s very little chance (well, 2:365) that the day they’re on is a DST switch.
Actually, no. I don’t think the show would “work” as well as it does by watching many episodes consecutively. I intend to watch the episodes as soon as the tapes come from the US and I can rip them out of the packaging. Then, I’ll wait patiently for the next tape(s) to arrive…
Ho, ho, ho, Montfort, you’ve got a surprise coming, as I wasn’t planning on sending you the tapes separately! However, I’ll let you make your case for why I should, then Munch and I will caucus.
Well, I suppose I can understand that logic - you need time to digest each episode.
But here’s my suggestion, take it for what it’s worth (more than lint, less than a Buick): If you’re going to watch each episode on a different day, at least watch at the same “time”. Thus, you’d watch the 1:00-2:00pm episode at 1:00-2:00pm, etc.
But my caucus vote is that you can do whatever the hell you want, as long as you keep coming in here and make fun of my VCR.
I’ve been watching too much Match Game. I almost posted:
So how go things among the ranks, clubbers? I was out to dinner last night during the CTP (critical taping period), and I almost overslept this morning, so right now I’m operating under the assumption that everything went OK at Chez K.
It may just be my imagination, but have the last few episodes seemed to go by much quicker than the first few episodes? It just seems like tape 3 filled up much quicker than tape 1 did.
Okay, y’all, we’ll forget about this a lot quicker if we just forget about it. Let’s say we stir up the waters a bunch by posting enough to get us to page 3.
For some reason this thread has a lot more posts than I can see. And where in the world did Knead go off to? He hasn’t said a thing in weeks…
Just kidding! I wouldn’t put you on my ignore list! Okay, I talked myself out of remembering what I read up there. All I did was say to myself that I’ve seen about 4 or 5 different people on ‘24’ commercials that fit TPWNSNLBMITT’s description, and now I can’t remember whose dog has amnesia.
What really chafes is that Assheadtorian was just parroting what lots of other sniveling pricks are saying. Heck, why clutter the board with an original thought, right? Fucking clown shoes. I shudder to contemplate the depths of hydrocephaly on display in the other 1600 posts.
While I’m being bilious, this thread sure did suffer in the conversion. To look at it now, it appears that I barely participated. The formation of the 24 club has been 86ed. My personal journey from skepticism to gladhanding - gone. Damn…you…God! ::shakes fist at the sky::
But we must press on, disheartened though we may be.
Last night’s episode was absolutely intense. That’s what I love about 24: almost every episode has at least some part where you are yelling at the TV you’re wound so tight.
Since we all probably have similar viewing tastes, allow me to make a movie suggestion. You gotta check out Session 9. It just doesn’t get much creepier. Or you could not watch it and I could drop vague hints about the plot and state over and over how good it is.
In the director’s commentary, they mentioned that some new camera technology was used. Me likey. The look of the film was gorgeous.
Any movies blown your mind lately? Viva la 24 club!
are totally inappropriate remaks for this forum and I know you guy both know better. Do not do this again. I don’t care how uspet you are at the time. I ask that you imagine how upset you will be when we boot you from the boards.
If you guys have a problem with a post from another member, ask the forum moderator(s) to deal with. This ain’t right.
You wound tight, Billy? I find that hard to beluggleigugiffleabbadahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Damn, I almost got that out with a straight face.
I do know what you mean about the gutting this thread took when the backups were lost, though. The first time we hit three pages was just, well to me anyway, awe-inspiring.
Recent movies that have blown my mind? I’ve been seeing a fair amount of mainstream stuff lately, but among those, The Man Who Wasn’t There and LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring were the most visually stunning. Both richly deserved the Oscar for cinematography; sadly, only one can win per year.
You’re right, Unc. The “head in your ass” comment wasn’t appropriate. Apologies to the forum mods and Astorian.
It was just fairly incredulous to see a thread with a title pleading that nobody spoil ‘24’ that has been nearly continuously on the front page of “Cafe Society” since September have someone come in and post a spoiler. Is it possible to have that deleted, or would Astorian have to request it? If it’s the latter, Astorian, could you request that post of yours be deleted?
And speaking of the spoiler, I just can’t see how a dog coming down with rabies could possibly be integrated into “24”'s story line.
