Think of it this way. This movie could be so bad, that Sly will lose all credibility as an actor (or whatever it is he thinks he does) and will never be seen or heard from again.
Great–that will make six Rocky movies I will never watch!
Who the hell is he gonna fight - Abe Vigoda?
Wow, I didn’t even know they made a fourth and fifth.
Well, to give Stallone some credit, he did write the first Rocky and it was a great movie. Rocky II was also pretty good. After that it went downhill.
As far as the plot goes does anyone remember George Foreman? (Or is it Forman?) You know, the really old boxer who regained the Heavy Weight Belt at an advanced age?
If Stallone really goes back to the first Rocky this could be a good movie. But it could suck.
Another example is the first Rambo movie. First Blood was a great movie. The sequals sucked.
We will see.

In fairness, ROCKY 5 did leave us hanging. (Wasn’t that the one where he experienced self doubt but in the end beat his opponent?)
At least Talia Shire will get some work. It’s gonna be a while before there’s another Godfather movie.
I loved Rocky, sort of liked II, enjoyed III, and the others were crap. I’m gonna see this one though, against better judgement, as I want to see if they do it right and he gets killed. He’s already a seriously brain damaged, near-vegetable right, according to the last one?
To me, it would be like Ali fighting Lennox Lewis today.
Sadly though, if it happens, I have a feeling that Rocky will win against the young monster that outweighs him by 80 pounds (no weight classes in later Rocky fights), by pure willpower.
It’s like a car accident. I just gotta see it.
