There won't really be a Rocky VI...right?

So anyway, I just finished watching Rocky II on ESPN Classic. Yeah, probably the last person in the country to follow one of the most famous movie franchises ever (I just rented the first one last month). My impression so far is that while this isn’t Oscar-worthy material (1976 must’ve been a really weak year), both movies are entertaining enough and perfectly good for passing a slow afternoon.

Anyway, on the message board for Rocky V at IMDB.com, there’s at least one thread with an actual plot description for one…last…sequel. Check out the “Die or Retire” link, too (funny stuff!); it looks like this is serious.

This…this can’t be right, right? I won’t know for certain until I see the remaining three movies, but my understanding is that the story of this Philadelphia nobody who made good, however clumsily, ended. He’s had enough experiences for five lifetimes…what’s left? Hey, Sylvester Stallone HIMSELF tried to kill off the character before it was ixnayed. He doesn’t need the money. He doesn’t need any more recognition. If his career ended tomorrow, he’d still be one of the most famous actors of all time and set for life.

This looks really, really bad. If it’s serious. Which I seriously doubt.

Other than the links, I couldn’t find any details on IMDB.
