Lswote, I’d like to ask you a question. You don’t have to answer me, but I’d like for you to think about the answer.
Why is it ‘bad’ that people said things that hurt your feelings, but it is ‘okay’ that you said things that hurt other people’s feelings?
I really wish you would think about this. You are so upset about your own hurt feelings that you have started two threads in MPSIMS about it, but you seem totally unconcerned that your remark about ‘hags’ hurt several posters feelings. And when those posters started a thread to make themselves feel better, you started a thread to complain about that!
Other people have feelings too, you know. Just because they don’t whine doesn’t mean their feelings weren’t hurt - it just means they deal with it differently.
Your feelings were hurt because someone questioned your honesty - do you have any idea how it must have hurt those posters who tried to sincerely offer you helpful advice when you scorned them and called them hags?
Sympathy is not one-way, with you the only recipient and everyone else SOL. Perhaps this is the key to your self-confessed failure with women - you are only concerned with your own feelings and don’t care about anyone else’s.
It doesn’t work that way. Everyone is looking for the same thing you are - consideration of their feelings from others. Try considering how other people feel when you are interacting with them instead of thinking only of your feelings. You will see a major improvement in your social life.
