If you walked past two coworkers and overheard one asking the other, “So, plugs or pellets?,” what would you think they were talking about?
As it turns out,
they’re both home-brewers and were talking about hops.
Dunno if I really have such a nasty mind or if it’s just real, real Friday today – but that was not my first thought.
Or my second, come to think of it.
Guess yer not a homebrewer, then. That was my first thought.
I was thinking, “hair implants”. 
Got it in one. Of course, I homebrew, so it was easy.
I might have thought they were talking shotgun shells with ‘plugs’ misheard as ‘slugs’. Not that they were planning a Columbine surprise for your office or anything.
BTW- Are you on their good or bad side…?
I am their boss, so this is actually the central question.

Hm. Perhaps this wasn’t the best day for me to start a conversation about “which of our coworkers do you think is most likely to go postal?”
