Polaroid Sprintscan 35 in XP?

So, I just got this shiny new (well, somewhat smudgy and old) Polaroid SprintScan 35 slide scanner from eBay. It came with an Adaptec SCSI card (which i was able to install relatively painlessly), but I can’t get the darned thing to work.

Windows Update foudn the drivers for the SCSI adaptor (an Adaptec AIC-7850) with no fuss, but of course couldn’t find drivers for the Polaroid scanner. I downloaded a program called Vuescan that is supposed to be able to get the Polaroid scanner to work in XP, but it insists that it can’t find the scanner (or, well, any scanner).

A quick search on the SDMB suggested that the SprintScan should work just fine in XP with a SCSI card, so I’m at a loss here.

Any ideas on what’s wrong, and how to fix it?

Nevermind, fixed the problem. I just had to install the APSI drivers for the SCSI card.
