Gore’s got the appeal of a dry pickle.
I’m reasonably pleased with Bush but would certainly consider a politically astute Democrat with character.

I voted for Brown in 2000. I’d probably vote for Bush if asked to vote today. But I live in Nebraska, so my presidential vote really doesn’t count much.
I’d vote for Gore. I’d vote for a dry pickle if it had a decent chance of beating Bush.

Just kidding. If the election were held tomorrow, I’d do what I did last time: watch it from the safety of my Montreal home.
I would vote for Gore, and I think that he would win.
- Gore won once, he can do it again.
- Bush wouldn’t have the “Katherine Harris factor” this time.
- Nader wouldn’t be there to suck off three million Gore votes (if he ran, he wouldn’t get many votes.)
- The idea that Bush would restore “honor and dignity” to the White House now looks laughable.
- Bush has shored up his support in some areas of the country with stell tarriffs and agriculture handouts, but those same issues would cost him among the all-important moderate voters.
There aren’t any significant differences between Gore’s stance and Bush’s stance on gun control, so what exact changes would you want Gore to make? And how exactly are the Democrats shunning pro-gun voters right now?
