Poll: Favorite/most iconic lines from TV

I started this thread, http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=782233 , to gather iconic/favorite lines from television and now this is the thread I said I’d make. The lines chosen below were either uttered several times in their series, thus becoming familiar, or, with a single utterance, were classics. I did not include one word exclamations, like “Dy-no-mite!” or “Duh!” Some series had several “classics”, I chose just one per series. I tried to pick lines that even non-fans of a series would recognize for their source.

Pick your three favorites, or one’s you consider most iconic.

“And now for something completely different.”

“Oooh! I didn’t expect the Spanish Inquisition!”

Uh, sir, I hate ta bother ya, but, y’see, there’s Just One More Thing…

Another informal vote for “And now for something completely different.”

“Push the button, Frank.”

If anyone wants me, I’ll be in my room.

Turkeys, Alice and slut for me.

You can’t cut the throat of every cocksucker whose character it would improve.

Agree on the Honeymooners and SNL nods (though I would have picked “We are two wild and crazy guys” for the latter show).

My third pick was the Soup Nazi’s line, as Seinfeld is still a fixture on schedules, while WKRP has disappeared from the airwaves (satellite waves?), at least around these parts.

I said “He’s dead Jim” but what I really wanted was “Dammit, captain I’m giving her all she’s got!”

It always amazes me when WKRP’s “Turkeys Away” episode is brought up, that such a memorable moment comes from the show’s 7th episode. How many other American* shows hit a home run so early in the show’s run?

    • I say American shows because so many of BBC series only have a short run of episodes compared to shows in the US

Sounds like a porno I once watched

Turkey’s the Hulk. and dead Jim for me. but I almost went for the slut.

“Whaaaattt doooooeeeesss aaaaa yellllooooooowwwww liiiiiighhhhht meeeeeaaaaannnnn ?”

Although everyone knows the turkey line, when I think of Les, what immediately comes to mind is his pronunciation of “Chi Chi Rodriguez”

Chy-Chy ROD-rih-gweez

For me:

“No soup for you!”
“Jane, you ignorant slut.”
“He’s dead, Jim!”
