Poll: Romney vs. Obama: You Decide

Totally an over-dramatic thread title, but who do you think will win? I’m really curious. For statistic purposes, really. Without any bickering, banting, ranting, insulting, offending, defending, or anything of the likes.

Just the person you believe and a brief reason why. The name of the candidate who you believe will win the US Presidency of 2012.

If you would be so kind as to put the number you are who picked that person.

Ex.
Romney 1
Romney 2
Obama 1
Romney 3
Obama 2
etc.
I pick Obama. I’m totally not voting, I hate them both but I believe Obama is going to win. Hey wait, I’m not old enough to vote! :smack:

Barack Hussein Obama 1

Put me down for Mitt Obama.

yeah forget what i said about the numbering thing, that was before i learned about the poll option…please excuse my ignorance and stupidity.

#2 for Obama because I think half the country is just that fucking stupid.

I think Obama will win because I believe in math.

Romney 1.

I can’t believe that after people have had the opportunity to see the real Mitt Romney, as opposed to the fabricated caricature that the Obama team tried to present, that they would not conclude that his experience is more apt to benefit us than 4 more years of Obama.

I’m assuming you’re voting Romney? Or just oppose the other?

I’ve thought it was gonna be Mr. Obama up until the last week or so, but I fear it’s gonna go to Mr. Romney. Seems like he has enough momentum in Ohio to put him over the top.

I still have no idea what Romney believes, or what a president Romney would actually do. And I think it’s the fault of Romney and his team that many folks would agree with this sentiment. I don’t look for what the other “side” tries to say about their opponent - this can be discounted. I look for what the man says about himself. Romney has too many sides; he tried to tell too many different groups the things they wanted to hear. He shifted from the primaries to the general in a huge way.

Obama 11

Yeah, but that’s true of any candidate running against an incumbent. the candidate first has to win the primary by catering more to the right (or left) than they would normally.

?? Really not sure where you’re getting your data from. How do you figure the momentum is Romney’s?

Today, RCP puts Obama at +2.9 in Ohio This is better than he’s been in RCP’s aggregate of polls since OCTOBER 6.

Here is their list of recent Ohio polls:
Ohio Poll/Univ of Cin. 10/31 - 11/4 Obama +1
Rasmussen Reports 11/4 - 11/4 Tie
SurveyUSA 11/1 - 11/4 803 LV Obama +5
Gravis Marketing 11/4 - 11/5 Obama +1
PPP (D) 11/3 - 11/4 1000 LV Obama +5
Columbus Dispatch* 10/24 - 11/3 Obama +2
NBC/WSJ/Marist 10/31 - 11/1 Obama +6

So whatchu talking bout?

Yes, that’s true. I think the problem this cycle was that the moderate Republicans are fewer in number, and the far right “tea party” Republicans are more numerous. This meant that the candidate had to go WAY far right to get the nomination. This made is tilt back to the center really, really obvious. He had to say things that were diametrically opposed to stuff he’d said just months before.

Romney’s probably an excellent, standup guy. But the things he had to do and say… jeeez.

Obama.

Tight race; incumbent advantage. Or something.

That, and I toasted a piece of rye bread this morning and I swear Obama’s face was on it.

Romney is a walking contradiction. Not only can’t he keep up with his lies, but he always, ALWAYS completely ignores questions. Never answers them and goes off topic.

Msoor 3.

I don’t know, obviously. I don’t follow polls too intently, I just got the impression the race was narrowing.

It’s entirely his own fault that people never had that opportunity.

Oh I saw the real Mitt Romney alright. But he died and sold his soul to the Tea Party a while back, and never returned this year, like I was hoping :frowning:

Well, I think the media wants you to think that so that you’ll watch THEIR VERY IMPORTANT COVERAGE!!!
