Mundane polls concerning minutia about yourself. Examples: What did you eat today at lunch? Do you use soap? What color was your shit today? What is your favorite sock brand? Do you floss?
Imaginative polls. Examples: Unicorns or Pegasi? What is your favorite color Unicorn? If you were a Pegasus, where would you fly to first? Which would you rather have: a marshmallow Unicorn or a chocolate Pegasus? What would you say first to an alien Unicorn from another dimension?
I like both types of polls.
I say I like both types of polls but in reality, I have a preference, which I am not sharing.
I don’t like either of those types of polls because I am a passive-aggressive contrarian.
I have a completely different answer because I am unique and special.
You’ve returned after shopping at the local branch of a national chain store and while unloading at home discover there are two packages of $13.99 premium alkaline batteries in your bag. However, you only recall intending to purchase one of this item, and vaguely recall maybe only one being rung up at check out. The receipt confirms you only paid for one package. The store is located a 15 minute drive from your house. What course of action do you choose?
Keep 'em! The check-out clerk probably screwed up
Drive back to the store and return the batteries. Honesty is the best policy
You’ve returned after shopping. Checking your receipt, you realize you were overcharged by a couple dollars, e.g. you were charged full price for something that was supposed to be on sale. The store is located a 15 minute drive from your house. What course of action do you choose?
Let it slide. It’s not worth the effort to try to correct it.
Go back and ask for a partial refund. I want my two dollars!
Monetarily speaking, have you overall gained, or lost, from having health insurance?
(That is to say, has the amount of money that health insurance has saved you exceeded the amount of premiums that you paid into the system, or has it been the other way around for you?)
Gained: I’ve saved more $ from health insurance than the amount I paid in premiums
Lost: I paid more in premiums than the amount of $ that health insurance has saved me
Person A steals a soda from a grocery store that part of a chain owned by a corporation. Person B steals an identical soda from a Mom and Pop convenience store. Legally speaking, their crimes are equal, but how would you consider them ethically?
What is your favorite US domestic airline? (I intentionally omitted Hawaiian Airlines because they’re a very niche airline that only flies to/from/within the Hawaiian Islands. Alaska Airlines was included because in spite of their name they have a fair number of flights within the Lower 48 states).
I’m not really interested in the opinions of people who don’t fly enough to care, or people think all airlines are the same, so I purposely didn’t include an “no preference/I don’t fly within the US” option. And no “other” option because I’m fairly certain this is an exhaustive list of major US airlines (we’re not counting regional and commuter airlines here).
American
Delta
United
Southwest
JetBlue
Alaska
Spirit
Frontier
Allegiant
Sun Country
Avelo
Breeze

Do you have status in the loyalty program of the airline you picked?
It’s 2025: You’ve been living under a rock a far as new movies are concerned for the last 2 years and know nothing about them. I offer to take you out to watch a film, for fun you will choose one of the current 10 movies showing at the local cinema based on only 2 pieces of information: What do you choose?
