Imagine you have to fly from Europe to the West Coast of the US. There’s no non-stop flight to your final destination; you will need to connect somewhere in the US. Which of these options would be your preference? Assume other factors (cost, total travel time, level of service) are about equal on both flights, and assume they’re both on the same airline.

  • Connect somewhere on the East Coast. You’ll have a relitively shorter transatlantic flight, but it will be followed by a long domestic flight across the US.
  • Connect somewhere on the West Coast. You’ll have a really long international flight but it will be followed by a really short domestic flight.
  • Other / I base my decision on some other factor / I have to select this option just to be contrarian.

What would your rule as World Overlord be like?

  • I would start well-intentioned but inevitably slip toward tyranny.
  • I would be a tyrant right out of the gate. :imp:
  • I would dedicate myself to solving the World’s problems and doing a good job. :innocent:
  • I would change the World’s economic model.
  • I would be highly paranoid about my personal safety. :grimacing:
  • I would be a terrible Overlord. Bureaucracy and ceremony bore the heck out of me.
  • I would not miss a meeting or a ceremony if I could help it.
  • I would delegate all the boring stuff and have lots of fun.
  • I would direct lots of money to important things that will help the World in the long run.
  • I would direct lots of money to myself and my loved ones.
  • I would direct lots of money to the care of my animal friends. “Hi guys!” :lion:
  • I would build amazing architecture that would be admired for centuries, if not longer. :classical_building: :tokyo_tower:
  • I would abdicate, once I found a worthy successor.
  • I would eliminate all potential competitors.
  • I would have fun making new laws.
  • I would have fun repealing laws that I disagree with.
  • I would cement a family dynasty, to last the ages.
  • I would usher in a better political system and end World Overlordism. :exploding_head:

A food, drink and ingredient Materializer is invented. One is given to you. You would:

  • Use it to permanently get off the Food Chain as much as possible. :innocent:
  • Only use it as a supplement to your diet of real, freshly killed organisms. :hocho:
  • Not use it at all, preferring the natural, slaughterous, horrific, and disgusting order of things. :vampire:
  • Use it for meat and mammalian secretions, but stick to killing and eating real plants, and their various seed sheaths. :eggplant:
  • Use it for everything but the meat of freshly slaughtered organisms. :pig:
  • Only use it for alcoholic beverages. :tropical_drink:
  • Do something else amongst all the various zillions of possibilities, that I am too lazy to list. :sloth:

Do you prefer the drive-thru or to go inside the restaurant?
  • I’d rather go inside. I can get extra napkins, condiments, use the restroom, etc.
  • I’d rather use the drive-thru. I don’t want to get out of my car, it’s usually faster, I’ve ordered ahead and am just picking up, etc.
  • Depends on…
  • I don’t go to restaurants where this is an option.
