You are about to be proposed to. (For this poll, assume that women can propose to men just as much as vice versa.) What do you want? (First choose the ring band, then a gemstone to top it.)
Companies sometimes change their names or branding. For example, Dairy Queen became DQ in 2001, and Twitter became X in 2023. Generally speaking, how soon after learning about such a change do you start using the new name?
I start using the new name right away.
I switch to the new name once most other people are using it.
I continue using the old name with people who I think are old enough to remember it, but for everyone else I use the new name.
I reluctantly switch to the new name once people no longer understand what I’m referring to.
I will keep using the old name until the day I die, and if people no longer recognize it, that’s their problem.
Does your job, hobby, or volunteer work involve writing e-mails to people? If so, how many unique, fully personalized e-mails (not form letters where you just modify a few bits here and there) would you write on a particularly busy day?

Do you ever use a different company name to refer to a certain company?
For example, here in Switzerland there is a company called Data Quest, which also rebranded to DQ, but only in 2020s. It’s an Apple reseller. We’ve always called it Dairy Queen, such as, “I need a new charger, do you need anything else at Dairy Queen?”
