Until about a century ago, horses were a key element of human life and culture in most parts of the world. Now they still exist, but are far from central to most people’s lives.
I have never ridden a horse and have no desire to do so
I have never ridden a horse but might like to one day
I rode a horse once and will never do so again
I have ridden horses from time to time but not it’s not a big thing for me
If you know (or used to know) your blood type, how did you learn it? Select all ways that you got your blood type as a result, even if it wasn’t how you initially learned it. (Example: If you used an EldonCard in high school and then later donated blood, you can count both). If you learned your blood type one way and you forgot what it was or it later turned out to be incorrect, it still counts. Only include options where you actually got your blood type as a result. (Example: If you have been pregnant, but never learned your blood type that way, leave “I was pregnant” unchecked.)
I’ve never known my blood type.
I donated blood.
I needed a transfusion.
I was pregnant.
I was in the military.
It is shown on one or more identity documents I have (or had) such as a birth certificate, driver’s license, or ID card. (not including military ID since that’s counted above)
It was tested in a lab for some reason not listed above.
I used an EldonCard (or similar) in an academic setting such as a high school or college class.
I used an EldonCard (or similar) outside of an academic setting.
I deduced it from knowing family members’ blood types.
You recently got a new car and have been driving it for a while. It is a moderately fancy one, with unusual barrel knobs on the center console that let you roll an indicator to where you want the side window and it moves there. One day you notice that the gap in that odd arc in the door panel moves when you adjust the window, and you discover that you can put two fingers into the gap and move the window manually. It takes some effort but not much, and you can move it about four or five times faster than the electric motor does.
come on, I would never get a modern car
it amuses me but I prefer the electric control
I use the slider once in a while
I take to using the slider most of the time
I might use the slider more but for my bad shoulder
cake, you promised german chocolate cake, hand it over
Is colinfred’s poll asking about whether you, personally, can come up with $50,000 in liquid assets that you could convert to cash, or asking about whether your locale has banks or other resources which have/could get $50,000 cash which they would give you, e.g., in $5s and $10s?
I don’t know
It’s gotta be whether I personally can marshal up $50,000. “Cash” was metaphorical.
It’s gotta be about the banks; no human has/wants that much cash

How easy would it be for you personally to marshal $50,000 in liquid assets that you could convert to cash?
Super Easy, barely an inconvenience
Pretty easy
Pretty difficult
Very difficult/impossible

How likely do you think it would be for a bank in your area to be able to give you $50,000 in cash?
Not very likely
Maybe they’d be able to do it in $100s, but probably not in $10s and $20s
I could probably get it all in $10s and $20s, but not $5s
I’m sure a bank would have plenty of cash around to cover whatever denominations I specify.
I think a bank would call the cops if I tried to withdraw that much cash. Especially if I asked for specific denominations.
I have no freaking idea how much cash a bank has on hand and/or will hand out to people.

If you are a native English speaker who grew up in the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia or somewhere else where English is the majority spoken language, do you speak in a regional dialect or a standard “TV” one for your part of the world? (For options comparing your accent with a parent’s or sibling’s, we assume you grew up in the same house.)
Everyone in my house had a Standard accent.
I have a Standard accent, but one or more siblings has a Regional accent.

One or both parents had a foreign accent, but I picked up a regional accent.

Whatever accent I had growing up has changed since moving to a different region.
