What is the most you’ve ever paid for a single ticket to a concert, play, opera, ballet, comedy act, or similar staged public performance? You can count a performance by multiple performers on a single day, but let’s not include multi-day festivals or sports events.

  • Less than $20
  • $20 to $50
  • $50 to $100
  • $100 to $250
  • $250 to $500
  • $500 to $750
  • $750 to $1000
  • $1000 to $2000
  • Over $2000
  • I’ve never been to any such performance, but I want to click something.

Your view of people leaving the United States because of Trump:

  • It’s good - they get to live elsewhere in some place that’s not run by a buffoon
  • It’s bad - it means more Trump opponents leaving the USA, thus making the USA a more pro-Trump environment

Are polls allowed in the discussion thread?

  • Nothing in that thread says polls aren’t allowed, therefore they are allowed.
  • They might not technically be against the rules, but please keep the polls in this thread for everyone’s sanity.
  • The fact that this thread is “polls only, no discussion” implies that the other thread is “discussion only, no polls” even if it’s not explicitly stated. No polls in the discussion thread!
  • I have a very nuanced opinion that doesn’t fit into any of the above categories.

Poll only for US citizens who support the Democratic Party. (ETA: Looks like the first few respondents were erased when I edited to allow people to choose only one answer)

Which of these statements do you MOST agree with?

  • The Democrats would win more elections if they were more progressive.
  • Democrats would win more elections if they were more moderate.
  • Our policies aren’t the problem; our losses in two of the last three Presidential elections have been mostly due to poor candidate selection and/ or campaign strategy

Inspired by the Melania thread.

I’ve deliberately created a 2 hour video that is designed to be as hard to watch as possible. The exception being I haven’t used any techniques that are actually illegal to film, (no CSAM etc). How much would I have to pay you to watch it? You must watch it with the care you would normally watch a cinema film and if you want to leave early you lose $50 rather than receiving any payment.

  • $50 or less
  • $51-$100
  • $101-$200
  • $201-500
  • $501-$1000
  • Not even for $1000

I just found a note on my desk that says:

stadium wave popup
16 weeks doorknobs

Do you leave notes for yourself that are totally whack when you read them a few days/weeks later?

  • Sometimes I find my notes-to-self sound whack later
  • My notes-to-self are generally cogent at all times
  • I don’t make notes for myself

Suppose I have been murdered and you are a murder detective and you found that note on my desk.

  • I would think this is some kind of important clue and would dig deep to get to the bottom of it.
  • I might check to see if doorknobs could have been involved in the murder in some way, but the rest of the note is inscrutable.
  • Naw, this note is just whack, I would ignore it.
  • I would be crying too hard at the death of the Great Karen to be functional as a detective.
