Some people say that self-checkout machines should have a discount because you give up the services of a cashier.

  • I avoid self-checkouts now, but I would use them with a discount
  • I already prefer them and don’t care about a discount
  • I would still avoid them even if a discount was offered

First, think of what you believe is the minimum action humanity must take to reverse climate change (on whatever timeline).

The world implements all of it, starting tomorrow, and none of it can be defied, reversed, or exempted until its purpose is fulfilled. Assume civilization doesn’t immediately descend into chaos, no significant social reforms are made, and you attempt to continue with your current life and lifestyle.

How screwed do you think you’d personally be?

  • I literally would not survive
  • Extreme hardship, enough to make me reconsider survival
  • Significant hardship that’s survivable, but with greatly decreased quality of life
  • Some hardship, but the sacrifices aren’t life-altering
  • No (or no noticeable) change
  • My life would actually be better

The signs say “SEE YOU NEXT TIME”.

  • I think it’s a nice gesture.
  • Wait a second…
  • Okay, now I get it.
  • Damnit, Nemo, now I can’t not see it.
  • Somebody at Dollar General is laughing.
  • As long as you don’t return on a Tuesday, it’s okay.
  • I’m British. I don’t see any problem here.
  • Maybe they can switch it to “IF YOU SEEK A BARGAIN, SHOP HERE”
  • I don’t understand. What are we talking about?

Won’t let me vote.

They’re both set so you have to choose all the options, or you can’t vote.

Reposted polls: i wasn’t able to edit them to allow fewer votes, so I’m just posting them with corrected ranges. I (hopefully) made no other changes:
