Poor Sleeping in the MMP

So, she’s a transcat?

I wouldn’t be that rude. :dubious:

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 75 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of 88 and mostly cloudy for the day. TWPTB say only a twenty percent chance of rain/tstorms/apocalypse, but who knows. The big item on today’s agenda is to finish up the kitchen cabinets and then attack the laundry room cabinets which will be a huge chore. That should keep me productive and off the streets for the day.

My parents had a cat that acted like a dawg. They got her as a kitten and she grew up with the two dawgs and pretty much did everything they did. She would run to greet dad just like the dawgs did. She also loved goin’ down to the woods with dad and the dawgs. They had another cat who would not allow strange cats and dawgs to wander in the yard. Groucho was a stray cat who wondered up one day, decided he liked it there and made himself to home. He was nicknamed “butthead” because he loved to butt haids with any hyooman who was so inclined to do so with him.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hongry. Then, onward into the day! Rah.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Double shift today.

The thread title as appropriate for me today. Last night was one of *those *nights - it was nearly midnight before I fell asleep and I woke at least twice before 5. Gonna be a long day.

But daughter et al got home safely just before 9. I got a little bit of a Roxy fix before going to bed. We’ll see what I’ll get done today. C’mon 3:30!!!

Happy Firday!

Happy Firday!

It’s a cool 64 out now but supposed to get up into the 80s today.

It’s another grumpy morning. I managed to sleep though the night but 6 hours isn’t enough. Ripple is being obnoxious already. Usually he sleeps in but this morning he is up and wanting to play. I have to irk and Sah-son wants to sleep.

I still haven’t ordered groceries and we need to go get them today. I think I’d rather order a pizza and get them tomorrow. However, it’s supposed to rain for the next 5 days so we should go today. It’s no fun carrying in groceries in the rain. It also means we should mow the front postage stamp today.

Movers coming this AM to take my bedroom furniture to storage. Think I have everything cleaned out, but there’s always something left…

So that leaves the kitchen and bathroom to empty out this weekend. Who had the bright idea to remodel the house?!?!?!

swampy, not a cat acting like a dog, but my niece got an English Mastiff that got raised alongside three Basset Hounds. Watching Archie try to bay like a basset never gets old…

Was it something I said?

Movers have been here, did a great job, and now I’ve got to get the spare room bed cleaned off and set for sleeping. The house is looking rather crowded right now…not at hoarding levels yet, but just ‘be careful where you walk’ stage; and it’ll be that way for the next couple of months. Oh joy.

I guess the MMP has a case of the lazies? I’m trying, sorta, to work, but my heart’s not in it. Tahred…

Gibbs had a bit of a ‘digestive upset’ last night and consequently woke me up 3 times to take him outside, and apparently was unsuccessful in waking me one other time, as evidenced by the rug in the laundry room. Poor little guy. He seems to be fine this morning however, and managed to scarf his breakfast down with alacrity.
I’m feeling not so well rested, however.

Good thing there’s nothing much on the schedule for today.

I could have another go at the upstairs.
Or the garage.
Or sweep and mop the bathroom and kitchen.
Or ignore it all.

I wonder what I’ll do.

Groceries have been ordered, with much cursing.
Really? I do a search on ‘bread’ and the first things that come up are bread crumbs and Panera soups?
I do a search on ‘Smart Food popcorn’ and get the family sized bag, the bag full of individual bags is under ‘white cheddar popcorn’.
I wanted to make a small order today, but so much stuff was on sale that I ended up ordering over $200 worth of food.

The front postage stamp got mowed. It was nice and cool outside, didn’t take long. Not that I do it anyway but my son wants me to sit out front while he mows.

MetalMouse, just wait for all the dust and noise.

I’ve decided I’m bugging out an hour early today, because I can. We’ll see if I can finish one more drawing in the next 40 minutes…

Howdy Y’all! I have completed the puttage of new shelf paper down in the rest of the kitchen cabinets plus in the laundry room cabinets. Go Me! The laundry cabinets, though only three cabinets (well, one long cabinet with three doors actually) was a gargantuan task as a lot of stuff in 'em was all willy-nilly in placement. Now 'tis all tidy and organized. Well, organized for me. Doggio would probably open 'em up, clutch his pearls, and faint.

I wanna bug out, but my luck is that if I do, an important rush request will come in after I sneak off. There’s something about Fridays that make people want to send or receive $400,000,000 wires in the afternoon, and about half the time, they need my help to make them go through.

If I could receive a $400,000,000 wire I promise I won’t be picky about which day of the week it comes. How can I sign up for one?

gp… are you me?

I wanna go home but damn, apparently now that most of the big bugs are finally fixed (go-live was on April), the warehouse guys have decided to email any time things take more than three seconds “just in case” or something.
TMI warning:

Perimenopause apparently includes several months of having symptoms of PMS or ovulation, just without the main event. Still carrying pads around and very grateful that nowadays they’re so slim.

Home - yay!

Looks like daughter will be working for **FCD **for a while, so I won’t have to quit for a while. She had an interview on Monday but it was for a min wage job with no bennies that would require her to use her own car, so she decided to decline. Which is smart. If SIL’s job comes thru soon (waiting on the gummint) they’ll have insurance, which is the biggie. So we shall see how it all goes.

We have supped upon majik intartoobz pizza and sallit. All is well.

Nava congratulations are in order. You have won, hands down, this week’s most TMI post. Huzzah!

I didn’t get out of irk until almost three this afternoon. After grocery shopping, I took the dogs for a walk around the complex. I have figured out how to walk them both at once now, so I don’t have to get up as early.

I talked to my dad a few minutes ago. I called because there were tornadoes in his area today. One touched down about ten miles west of his home and he’s out of electricity. I worry because of the heat and he has an electric adjustable bed, a BiPap machine and a scooter that needs a charge. If he doesn’t have power by tomorrow, I’ll call the elder care folks in his county.

About five thirty this afternoon, Nelson began to alert that someone was at the door. No knock, just a paper telling me that I needed to get July’s rent in with an additonal $110 by Monday or they would take me to court. I double checked. I turned in the check with the intent to renew on the second, but they haven’t cashed the check. New manager, my bet is that it was misplaced. However, the office is closed all weekend and that means that I’ll have to take a couple hours off Monday morning to get it straightened out. I will refuse to pay late fees and the check will have to be stopped, because, face it, they’ve lost it, who’s to say that they wouldn’t try to cash it when it turns up.

Red, bet if you raise enough of a fuss, the check will magically appear. The joys of renting.

FCM, nice that the decision was made for you. Enjoy working . Hope SIL gets the job.

Well, made up the spare room bed, which will be my sleeping abode for the near future. Next mission is to transfer all the master bath stuff to the second bathroom. Then the big job of emptying the kitchen (you never realize how much stuff you have until you have to move it).

Treated myself to a double Butter Pecan waffle cone, so all is right with the world.
