Porcelain mark identification please

Hello, my mother has acquired a porcelain figurine of The Three Graces, the one she has looks like this.

The seller told her that it is “Dresden” which of course is not much help in identifying the maker. On the bottom is this mark but we have not been able to identify it so far. We have checked quite a few books and asked a few dealers, including two actually in the city of Dresden.

Is there by chance anyone on this board familiar with porcelain marks who may be able to help? Many thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Its on the list of fake marks here.

Here are the real Meissen Dresden marks

Yep, I’ve been a fine and decorative arts appraiser for 15 years. Dresden is one of the most faked marks there is, and Isildur’s link tells it all.

Thanks very much guys! Isilder’s link shows the mark exactly but only has this to say:

Mark found on some otherwise nicely made figures, note the fancy ‘swords’ which are the same as with the marks with R. Same ‘swords’ other letter - the R version of this mark is newer than the F which got ID’d as repro mark pretty quick.

We were not under any illusion that it was Meissen, just wanted to know what it was really. Is there any more information available other than “it’s a repro”?

Not really. Some copies of Meissen Dresden are of such quality (Samson, for instance) that their “fake” marks were copied by others, and were sold as fake copies of fake copies. (“No, no, we know it’s not REAL Meissen, not at this price, but look at the mark, it’s a Samson reproductoin, and so it’s the best you can have for this kind of money…”)

Thanks very much Prof. Pepperwinkle, very helpful information
