I have been going quietly bananas over this. I feel I should know it and the colours in the design are familiar. It dates from c 1970’s.

I went through the USA and didn’t see it, but you might want to double-check if you don’t find it among the other nations.
Is that second picture the manufacturer’s logo? Are there any words with it?
The best place to start is www.replacements.com but it’s difficulty to find anything if you aren’t sure of the manufacturer’s name.
Yes, second picture is the backstamp, and no, there aren’t any words with it. IMHO the feel of it is continental European.
It would be a help if any-one could “interpret” the letters any differently from me; I see “RMWR” or some combination of those.
I see the same, but the two R’s also form a Spade shape (like from a deck of cards) or a circus tent or even a rooftop like at the Kremlin.
