Okay folks…we’re all adults here. And I presume that a fair number of us have seen “Pirates,” the Lord of the Rings of adult cinema.
“Pirates” is clearly a riff on Pirates of the Caribbean. We recently also caught “The Davinci Load,” a spoof of, you guessed it, Cast Away.
Anywho, these movies are fun to watch…my wife and I actually found ourselves hoping the sex scenes would hurry along so we could get back to then plot.
So, any more suggestions in this genre?
And btw- for those unfamiliar with his work, Evan Stone is perhaps the finest actor in cinema history. Think Kevin Sorbo and William Shatner’s love-child.
“Sex World” is a parody of the old “Futureworld” movies. It’s got some silliness to it, though I don’t know if it has enough of a plot to be worth getting back to.
Jenna Jameson’s “Silver Screen Confidential” had an actual plot and some fairly funny bits – the male lead showed himself to have a pretty good comic gift, including “the gift of gab.” Along with that other gift male porn stars tend to have. Also, Jameson’s’ “Satyr,” while not INTENTIONALLY funny, is always good for a laugh. Has a strong plot (for a porn flick) as well.
Not long ago, I caught Orgasmo, a live action spoof of porn flicks made by Trey Parker and Matt Stone before they started doing South Park. It had a naive Mormon missionary getting persuaded to play Orgasmo, a porn superhero who fights evil with his sidekick Choda Boy (think Robin with a dildo strapped to his head.) The porn parts were softcore, but the story and the campy acting were amusing.
Years ago I saw a hilarious porn called (IIRC) “Dick at Nite,” a parody of the “Nick at Nite” lineup of old family sitcoms. It was funny to watch and was one of the few pornos I’ve seen where the plot and script were good.
Johnny Depp just mentioned this one in an interview w/ Rolling Stone a few weeks back. It made me laugh because I remembered always seeing this box on the shelf at the local video store, and my friends and I constantly joking about it.
Back in the early 90’s, there was The Flintbones, which was much better than the Hollywood Flintstones movie that came out shortly after. Ron Jeremy was born to play Fred.
There was also a Star Trek spoof that I remember as being pretty amusing – I think it was simply called Sex Trek .
Have you ever seen the original in theatrical release? A lot more hardcore than the chopped up video release. The original was great, the video was limp.
A notable thing about Orgasmo is that a sizable portion (possibly a majority) of the cast of the movie WAS made up of hardcore porn stars, most notably including Ron Jeremy as the actor who played JIZZ MASTER ZERO! (Not to mention being the guy who claimed that porn didn’t objectify women, but rather, porn objectified… people.) Oh, and the girl who played Lobster Girl was a hottie, even with the claws.
An actual porno film I have to recommend is “Space Nuts”. It’s a parody of Star Wars, and aside from having some very good sex scenes (and a couple they could have skipped). They get points for some creative costuming (one of the actresses was covered head-to-toe in blue makeup to make her look vaguely alien, one of the actors had some kind of glossy makeup to make him look plasticky because he was an android, and the main bad guy looked a lot like Emporer Palpatine). Also, the only porn I’ve seen with space battles.
Oh, and as for amusing random porn parodies, Robot Chicken did a 30 second re-enactment of Debbie Does Dallas, featuring popsicle sticks in place of all the performers. It’s worth noting that the plot of Debbie Does Dallas can effectively be compressed to 30 seconds, and I think it’s kinda sad that I recognized all the scenes depicted in the parody.
