Haven’t watched the newest episode, but the one before was really great.
The “1890s” version of the pilot opener was great. Should have been the opener for this season’s debut. The rats animation was so cool … should have been longer.
Mrs. FtG’s relative who was on last season has “something special” coming up soon which the buzz is that she’ll be on the show again, but more like herself. Which is going to be … edgy, even for IFC.
I’m so happy it’s back. I’ve been DVRing it, but just this weekend managed to sit down and watch this seasons episodes. I love the Mayor skits the best.
We gathered 'round the set and watched the “Motorcycle” episode last night.
I can’t really be objective about it. We just kept going on and on “Hey, <Mrs. FtG’s relative> can actually act!” Who cares about the rest of the show.
All shows should do this. Put everyone’s relatives in them. Get some big ratings. More money for cast, but don’t need to spend a dime on writing or production values.
I always wonder who the extra cast are. Seems like I should know, but then I figure they’re locals or something?

Other than the occasional guest star, they mostly use local actors.
He’s great. I always thought he was underutilized in Sex and the City.
I was almost bawling during the chicken episode it was so hilarious.
Season 1 was even better than the current one but that’s to be expected as Armisen had this idea for years.
Only downside is that Armisen looks haggard. Really haggard and not the same age as the chick. He’s definitely supposed to be under 30 and yet looks 45.
We just saw the rerun of the chicken ep. It seems funnier the second time around. Also, the Portland song at the beginning was priceless.
I hope the Chicken ep is still on the DVR but it might not be; if it is I"ll catch it again this weekend. I agree, the song was fantastic.
And the themes are definitely true of any major urban area. I got almost the exact chicken schtick (about lamb though) about a year ago. And I almost died of embarrassment when I was begged to be a dodgeball captain :smack:. I was so desperate for new friends after everyone moved away last year that I briefly considered doing it before my better judgment prevailed.
