Maybe it’s just me, but when I write an away message in black font it always comes out in red… is there any great reason for this, or just… i dunno… something stupid.
And I promise that after this we can get back to whole chicken vs. egg thing
Away message are automatically converted to red text, I think. It helps people distinguish an away message from normal messages (apparently, the big, bold letters that read “AWAY MESSAGE FROM SO-AND-SO” weren’t enough).
Actually, away messages will be in red if you don’t specify a font color. If you do specify one, then it’ll be in your specified color. But, I think you need 4.6 or higher. Any version below that will be in red no matter what, I think.
