Post an impressive individual music performance

Strange, since it worked for me only an hour or two before your attempt.

There’s a thread devoted to this in Site Feedback:

The current consensus seems to be to use the video URL (not the page URL) from YouTube and to make this the last thing added to your post and quickly, before the video preview shows up in your preview window, hit Reply. (so make sure you fix typos and grammar errors before).

Opinion is divided on whether the forward slash makes a difference.

I have no idea how this compares to other performances, but it keeps popping up on my feed and it’s a fun watch.

Anything by Rory Hoffman is impressive. Here’s a clip I recorded not long ago at Fishstock, Autumn Leaves.

Rory plays several instruments, all of them really well, and some in an unconventional manner. And he is blind.

How about Stars and Stripes Forever on a 6-string? Arrangement by Guy van Duser, played by Chet Atkins.

The combined piano and orchestra parts of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2.

Styx performs “A Criminal Mind”. I love JY’s guitar solo!

Wowee!

Although he has co-conspirators helping here with the dancing, the est is all him, Loius cole. (All music, singing, etc…)

(I typed too fast trying to post a you tube video. Please excuse the typos!)

Years ago on Chicago’s classical music radio station I heard someone play the Nutcracker Suite on guitar. I want to say it was Andrés Segovia, but I could very well be mistaken. Of course I haven’t had any luck trying to search for it after all these years.

Wonderful (but ridiculous!)

This song gets stuck in my head for days every time I watch this.

I’ve always loved how you’ve got three guys over by the drum set and Terry’s all ‘well, I’m starting anyway’.

I don’t know if it counts, but it’s great:

19 freakin’ 59…

Since this is back again, two more from Roy Clark.

More comedy than music but he provides his own sound effects.

I remember, the first time I saw this, deliving a quietly venemous ‘fuck you’ to the Liberace jerk.

Do you like Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring”? This performance is awe-inspiring.
