I haven’t done it in so long, I’ve forgotten how.
I can’t find anything about it in the FAQ’s, which seems odd to me.
Now I’m not even sure how I learned to do it in the first place. I’m thinking I asked and someone told me.
Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

You can’t post an image here. You can link to one, though. The easiest way is simply to copy the URL into a post and make sure you have the “Automatically parse links in text” box selected.

Thanks so much.
May I humbly request this info be added to the FAQ?
So I can find it next time I need it.
You humble wish is our command. Well, within reason. Anyhow, I’ve made it so:

If anyone has some wording edits that might make this clearer, let me know by posting your suggestions here.
We should warn if the image is NSFW when providing the link.
I believe that the expectation is that we won’t link directly to NSFW images/other material. A warning alone is insufficient.
it seems you are correct, sir. From the rules :
When posting a link to potentially shocking or offensive material, observe the “two click” rule - don’t link directly to the item, but rather to an intermediate page that in turns links to the item. If you’re not sure whether a link is appropriate, contact a moderator or administrator before posting it. Any user who feels a posted message is objectionable should contact the moderators of the affected forum by e-mail.
You can also disable the link.
