Posting While Drinking

I was just thinking, and drinking, and drinking some more, then I did another bout of thinking, and I thought: is it a good idea to post while drunk? I would asses the pros and cons myself, but am currently too hammered, so: what do you all think?

(My first OP! YAY! And I’m wasted! YAY!

I did one of these a month or two ago and it went fine; was as lucid as I ever am.

You, uh, misspelled “assess.”

I have been drinking. Rather heavily. In fact, I’m still drinking.

Actually, there are quite a few assess who post on the board, whether or not they have been drinking, so you are in good company.

The only danger is to post something you might normally not post if you had not been drinking. To paraphrase the Good Witch in Wizard Of Oz…“Are you a good drunk or a bad drunk?”

Some people get pretty funny and witty when they have had a few. Others only think they are funny and witty. And some very surly, oops, I mean surely, are not.

So - in answer to your question…depends on the person.

Do a post every hour so we can see and document your progress.

Sometimes it’s not a good idea. But I don’t usually see anything wrong with it as long as the person is being extra careful and pre-viewing before posting.

I’ve posted while drunk, and everything went ok.

I’ve posted things I wish I hadn’t after a few drinks (not checking my facts, or being a bit too bombastic) but nothing too bad… yet.

THE best example of why you should not post while drunk.

Also possibly the best example of why we should all convince others to post while drunk.

I’m not drinking, but postin in her cos I’m just so darn bored sh*tless.

me may ma mo, me mo ma may, mo me may ma.

I think Homer used to do this and it was sometimes quite hilarious and sometimes quite sad. However, I don’t think he was *drinking * per se.

He wasn’t drinking. He was tripping on mushrooms.

We all know what Homer was up to, I just wanted to let searchers find out themselves.

The true beauty of the Monkey post is that no one recognized it for over 12 hours. Without the two posts from Homer in a row, it wouldn’t have worked.
