I’m having problems running PowerDVD 4.0 on my computer (Pentium 4, 1.7 Ghz, 256 RAM). Whenever I load the program, a message pops up saying “FFFFFF undefined error”. If I close the message box, and press the play button, the same error pops up. I tried emailing Cyberlink, and they said that downloading the PDVDxp4 patch_2417 patch would solve the problem. I downloaded the patch, but when I try to run it, it says there isn’t a version of PowerDVD and will abort. I tried emailing PowerDVD again. That was two weeks ago and they haven’t replied, so I’m asking this board. What can I do?
Was the software OEM? I mean, did the software come preinstalled with a DVD player when you bought the computer? If so, there’s a possibility that there is a change in the OEM software compared to the normal Cyberlink software. What I would do, if you did buy from Gateway or Dell or another builder, would be to go to their support website and see if they have patches for the software. I can walk you through the Dell website procedure if needed, but I don’t know it for Gateway or any other vendor.
The software is OEM.
Please do.
