I’m working on a rather large PowerPoint presentation. In this presentation, I make frequent references to specific cases that illustrate my point. In general, I only say “this thing is used, for example, here, here, and here”. However, in case the audience asks questions, I’d like to be able to quickly expand on these points.
For this, I prepare “secret slides” (“sub-presentations”) that are not presented in the usual flow, but rather are used only when asked. After I present the sub-presentation, I want to resort to the referring slide to continue the normal presentation. And therein is my problem.
- The sub-presentations are usually longer than a single slide, thus a return link to “last slide” won’t work.
- I may link to each sub-presentation more than once, so a static “return” link won’t work either.
- The problem may probably be solved by putting each sub-presentation in its own file, but than my presentation will need dozens of files, and some of which may be lost in transitions.
The way I do it now, is by copying the sub-presentations multiple times in the presentation and using fixed “return” links. But that is clearly a flawed way.
Is there a better way to do it?
