And now, only 300 to go to 3000.
This is getting scary, like watching a snowball roll down a hill. This thread has already agglomerated to the size of a Volkswagen, with no end in sight.
Right, Angua?

I’m hoping that **Happy Lendervedder

Wheee!!! The Enormous Thread
I baked chocolate chip cookies yesterday. They’re good.
NCB, there might be a line to slow dance with me.

I’ll pay you a dollar.
TygerDralion
It’ll take more than that to bribe me! I am (almost) incorruptible. Offers of vast quantities of beer may work.

In case no one else has said it yet, WELCOME to TygerDralion!! Kick your shoes off, pull up a seat, and have the beverage of your choice.
Angua, I’d offer you chocolate, but I’ve heard it’s bad for dogs. Does that go for werewolves too?
ETF, if chocolate is bad for werewolves, then I’m eating myself into an early grave. Chocolate is good. Chocolate covered espresso beans are better.

::Scurrying off to the nearest specialty chocolate shop::
Hey, Angua, if we get you enough chocolate, do you promise to stop chasing us up a tree all the time?
And what’s your opinion about white chocolate?
Wheeee!! Of course I will.
White chocolate is good. It works very well in chocolate chip cookies. But dark chocolate rules.

Happy? Care to join me for lunch?
<Wiping sleep out of his eyes> It’s 1 p.m. EDT, and I just woke up. Having a week off before you start a new job is so delightful. I recommend it to all of you if you get the chance.
TygerDralion, about a year and a half ago, I had a dream that you’d post here. So in a sense, you’ve made my dreams come true.
ETF, how bout a Big Salad[sup]TM[/sup]. I’ve been eating too much crap lately, and while I was laying in bed last night, I heard a strange creaking, which I’m pretty sure was the sound of my arteries hardening.
Angua.
Hello all. Just got back from playing soccer. Which we won
Happy Lendervedder
I like this, Happy! Reminds me of an old New York Magazine contest. In that one it was Ktath, Gomaq of the Cliff People.
I predict ETF will do the dirty bop here next.
Zeldar, I actually got it from an old Saturday Night Live skit with Mike Myers: “Lothar, of the Hill People.” It was always on at like 12:50, so probably most people have never seen it.
But whenever I see your name, the little theme song from that skit runs through my head. Here, let me sing it for you: “Lothar, of the Hill People.” Ring any bells? No? Ah well.
Anyway, I always sing “Zeldar, of the Hill People” whenever I see your username.
Lothar– er, Zeldar.
Thanks for the explanation, Happy. I guess my SNL watching of any significance goes back to the 80’s. I got to be much less regular with it after the Eddie Murphy period, so all that’s happened since then is mostly hearsay for me. (I even missed the Jack Handey period, sad to say.)
I do know what you mean about the singing thing, though. There are quite a few usernames that make me smile, even laugh, and some that remind me of songs, or jokes or graffiti.
How about a word from Angua next?
Taxonomy.
No Clue Boy
I have no clue where the Boy is, alas. Happy, I’ll have that salad for supper. Lunch was honey mesquite turkey and mozzarella with fresh from the garden tomatoes, on whole wheat, with Ipswich Ale mustard.
And a little cider doughnut for dessert.
I know how you feel about chocolate, Angua; have you any use for its stridently virtuous subsitute, carob?
Ah, my healthy intentions were destroyed by a lack of time. I had a city commission meeting at 2, so I had to settle for another fast food lunch. Dinner will be a bit healthier-- spaghetti, salad and corn niblets.
