Mr. K said the price rose $.16 between his morning commute and the trip home. It cost him $53 to fill the tank yesterday. He’s still reeling from pump shock.
$53 for my fill-up this morning, too, kalhoun, at $3.59/gal.* That’s a record high for me.
*that’s up anoth ten cents a gallon since last week
It is at $3.89 here in the burbs of Detroit.
With a 40 gallon tank, I am not looking forward to filling up.

Well, the small decrease must have been random noise. It went up again to 1.249/L today.
I’m taking the train to Montréal for my holidays.
Paid $3.81/gal yesterday - the station across the street was at $3.89, as is the place I was usually filling up. For the record, that up another $0.22/gal in two weeks, with absolutely no sign of leveling.
If gas gets to $10/gal like everyone is predicting, I’ll have to quit my job because I won’t be able to afford to get there. 
There are now several places around us that are charging $5.05 - $5.20 for diesel. And we need to fill up today.
We were all excited that there was an Arco that had diesel for $4.60, so we drove out of our way to go there. And…they’re out of diesel. sigh
It’s still around $1.25/L here (USD 4.77/US gallon using conversions of 1 CAD =1.01 USD and 1 US gallon = 3.78 litres)… but diesel is $1.40/L (USD 5.35/US gallon).
Diesel has risen frighteningly in the last 2 weeks - one station on my commute went from $4.39 to $4.79. then 3 days later $4.99, then yesterday $5.29.
I sell gas, and we are at $4.09 / $4.19 / $4.29.
The highest around is about $4.23, but a few miles away, near the airport, I bet it’s closer to $4.75 - they were $4.29 when everyone else was at $3.79.

Coming back from Owen Sound last weekend, I saw one station in the hamlet of Thornbury at 1.69/L (USD 6.45/US gallon!!!). That had to have been someone seeing whether they could get away with it; nowhere else was even close (the usual 1.25, 1.23, even below 1.20 in some places.
I got my 89 gas today for $4.11 at Shell. Arco and USA might have had it for less, but they were farther away from my errand routes today.
$3.96 in CNY…better than last week, though.
Houston- I paid $3.79 today and the highest price I saw was $4.15.
$3.95 or $3.97 three days ago. I guess I’ll have to check again.
Time to revolt, people.
Maui’s now up to $4.41 a gallon for regular unleaded.
$3.85 for me today. $56.25 to fill up my tank. Is it over yet?
