St. Louis suburbs, $3.78/gal regular; dunno about diesel. Thank Eris I live close to public transit.
Prices topped four bucks for regular just south of Seattle this weekend. The highest we saw was $4.12 in the little burg of Des Moines and the lowest was $4.02 in Burien.
And $4.09 today. A week or so back we had stabilized at $3.79 for several days, then it went up a dime in one day, with daily increases since then.
This shit is getting old real fast.
I paid $3.88 this morning in Boston Township, Ohio, just before getting on I-271. A few cents shy of $60 to fill up. I ran almost dry to get there, passing several stations at $3.95.
It was $3.72 on the Parkway yesterday. There were lines 4 deep at each side of the 4 islands and at least 3 different cars who tried to cut in line were told they wouldn’t be filled by the attendants.
I predict at least two pump-rage shootings will be reported by the media before school starts again in September.
I paid $3.80 today. That was at Safeway, and I got an additional .03 off since I’m a ‘valued Safeway customer.’
That’s pretty good around here; I’ve seen it at $3.90+ other places.
I paid $4.89 for diesel at work - 30 gallons, $146.00. Glad I don’t have to pay that bill.
CAD 1.299/L (USD 4.945 /US gallon) at the Petrocan at the corner of Bloor and Prince Edward this aft.
We’re up to $3.99 - 9/10 in Los Anchorage this morning.
I keep saying, in order to revolt successfully, we need a plan! What’s your plan?
$10.03 per US gallon last week in Isle of Man.
. . . an island half the size, geographically, of the city I live in. I suspect a full tank of gas would last quite awhile there.
That and the free healthcare system that it specifically pays for drops it down to less per gallon/litre than US levels.
Woohoo! It dropped 8 cents today (May 28) from $4.09 to $4.01. Is it happening?*
*Obscure Arrested Development reference.
We’re actually seeing editorials in the local paper for increased mass transit and even commuter rail service from the valley. Unheard of. This is what my wife championed ten years ago and ran into total indifference from the city government. Thinking ahead is not their strong suit.
$4.12/gal at Arco this morning. It went up $0.11 last night.
CAD 1.299/L (USD 5.05 / US gallon) at Bloor and Prince Edward this morning. Also CAD 1.299 at the four stations along Dundas Street out by the highway. This is unusual; the stations along Dundas are usually 2 or 3 cents per litre lower that the one at Prince Edward. I think the price has risen and Prince Edward is hesitating to make the jump to CAD 1.300/L.
EDit: I used xe.com’s conversion rate for CAD to USD in my post upthread; and I used Google conversion for this post. They were on different days, true, but I’m still getting a 10-c difference in the US price for the same starting Canadian price. Possibly the value for the US gallon in litres is different as well.
Wow. $4.01 for several days running.
I just took a road trip from Taos NM to Amarillo TX this weekend. Friday in Eagle Tree (near Taos) it was 4.04. Today returning, 3.99 Springer NM, 3.99 Clayton (just inside NM), Texline was 3.94 (just inside TX), Dalhart was 3.89, and Channing was 3.97 (there is only one station in Channing). Leaving Amarillo I paid about 3.99 (on Thursday).
3.85 at a LukOil. It was their ‘gas sale’ price. BTW, thats up 12 cents a gallon since the 27th…
Baltimore, in the city: $4.07 highest I’ve seen, $3.89 lowest I’ve seen out here in the Northeast suburbs. I’m pleased with the fuel economy of the new car, in comparison with the old 15 miles/gallon van.
