Problems syncing Google Calendar & Android Phone

I’ve got a Samsung Galaxy S3 running the latest version of the OS 4.1.1. Recently I’m having issues syncing the phone to the PC. Data I enter on the PC appears on the phone, but entries I make on the phone don’t appear on the PC. It used to work fine in the past.

I’ve followed the help instructions on the PC version of calendar with no good results.

Any experts here?

I have the same phone (OS 4.1.2) and also use Google calendar. I am unclear on your process–Google calendar is web-based, and there is no syncing between the phone and a PC. The syncing is between the phone and your Google calendar account. Are you saying that you enter events into your phone calendar but they don’t show up on GC on the web? I don’t usually enter events on the phone (mostly the other way around) but I just tried a test and it works fine. I was unable to find a setting that would cause this so I’m not sure I can help, but double check the configuration of the phone for calendars, like make sure you have the correct email address associated, etc. I can’t think of anything that would only block syncing in one direction, though.

If I enter an event on the web based Google calendar, it appears immediately on my phone. If I enter an event on the phone, it does not appear on the web based calendar.

I’ve not made any changes to the phone nor PC in some time.

At the top of Add Event, it should say:

Calendar
youremail@gmail.com

You’re probably posting from you cell to the Samsung Calendar and not the Gmail/Google Calendar.

The latest version of Android is 4.3.

Success! You’re a genius! It was somehow set to “My Calendar” instead of the one with my Google account. Thank you so much!
