I’m pissed that Angela and Vincent are back, because they both suck. Laura is right–Angela would never have won without Michael and Laura reining her in.
Angela should be psyched about the “use all the fabric” rule–she can go nuts with those fucking rosettes.
The look on Jeffrey’s face when Angela came back made it all worthwhile. He looked like he’d just swallowed his own tattoo. Ha! Great psych-out!
Poor Laura, socked with nasty early-pregnancy hormones while she’s being run ragged, sleep-deprived – I’m surprised she’s managed to hold it together this long. i hope she can pull out of it; she’s such a strong woman, I hate to see her fall apart.
I loved Laura’s dress and I feel like she got the win she has been waiting the whole season for. Her model looked great, and gave her good advice on the design. Overall, it was classy and cool. I’m glad she didn’t just take her bump and go home.
Michael’s dress was perfection, as usual. I think the judges really like and admire his work, so he’s pretty much a shoe-in for Fashion Week. I don’t want to jinx him by saying that, and the preview worried me-- he was saying he was having a block. No! I need to see this man’s collection, so he better make it to the final 3. He’s the only one left who has consistently varied his work and been fresh and interesting damn near every time (except for bunny ears… everyone makes mistakes). I hope the judges remember that.
Uli-- boring! BORING! Tim needs to kick her ass more. He complimented her frog, which did her no favors. She better crank out something innovative next time, like Laura did.
Jeffrey’s model looked like a hooker from 1986. I hated every single aspect of that dress and hoped he’d get booted, though I knew with 2 wins behind him there was no way he’d be out before Kayne…
Oh, Kayne, I will miss him. This dress was boring and lame, but he tried to take the advice given him and tone his thang down (it was nice of Michael to advise him so kindly and well). It just didn’t work. I like him way more than the judges did; I think he will be successful in his designing niche and wish him the best. I wonder which of the final three designers he will work with?
Vincent’s dress was pathetic, that’s all I’m going to say about that. Angela’s was of “questionable taste” as usual. I didn’t hate it as much as the judges did but I think it was a bit wild for a cocktail dress. I think these two were brought back just to make everyone crazy and miserable. Fun times!
WHAT did Heidi mean in the preview when she said “this year we are not committed to a Final Three”? Does that mean all 4 could be in, or more than one person could be eliminated???
So glad Laura finally won a challenge. It turned out to be a tossup for me as to who should go this week (Angela and Vincent should have never been back, but I couldn’t decide whether Kayne or Jeffrey was worse).
Jeffrey should go next with my dream final 3 remaining: Laura, Michael (Laura’s Babydaddy? :-p), and Uli.
I left the TV on after PR and during the real estate show, there was a commercial for the next new PR (which is in two weeks, not next week). That’s when Heidi said it. I bet they wind up with a Final 3 after all, though. How can there be just 2 at Fashion Week? And how would no one be eliminated next week? Maybe it’s just an advertising ploy… as if they need to convince me to keep watching at this point!
On the website they’re asking people to vote for who they would like to see come back - Alison, Bradley, or Robert? I bet they bring the winner of this contest back.
I felt bad for Alison for getting auffed when the recycling material she collected didn’t work like she wanted it to.
I can see their point of giving people second chances if they previously won a Challenge. Too bad it was Angela and Vincent. (I hate Vincent’s designs).
I bet sometime in a few years they’ll get the winners of each season to compete against each other.
Does anyone want to call up Laura’s husband? Because, some crack-addled editor forgot to blur the numbers while it was on screen for a full 15 seconds.
Alison was winning that thing bigtime. She had what, like 85% or something when the showed the results? I know I voted for her. So if that’s what they’re doing, she’ll definitely be back. I don’t think she should be able to jump back in at this late date, nor could beat Michael or Laura, but it would be nice to see her get another chance to be on the show, maybe as the second to one of the top 3?
It did. Vincent and Angela had to win this one outright in order to stay on board. Needless to say, neither did, so their returns were mercifully brief.
Yeah, I just read that on Tim’s blog. Thank goodness they’re both back out - I was worried. Too bad Kayne didn’t have more white on his dress, we might have been rid of Jeffrey.
I have to agree that was the best part of Angela’s re-entrance. At first glance of Laurs’a sketch of her dress you could see what appeared to be another high waist. I was relieved when it wasn’t. Her dress was by far the best. I thought that Uli deserved more credit though, it wasn’t as bad as the judges made it sound. My prediction for the final three now that Laura has made a turn around would be her, Michael, and Jeff. Uli is also very talented but the judges are starting to think that she can’t design outside of the realm of Uli fashion. Laura’s turn around surprised me and if she keeps it up then she could surprise us and axctually win. Although I am fearing there may be another high-waisted plain dress creeping up pretty soon. As for Jeff I think he has the most creativity and after tonight’s warning from Heidi I think he will actually try for a simpler look next time. Michael is also great and it seems like the episodes are building up for him to win because he always has a fresh elegant look.
What? No one else felt sorry for Vincent when he found out he had a different model? The dress was too small for her, so it rode up, of course, I doubt it would have been long enough even on the thinner model.
I just started watching a couple weeks ago. Mostly reruns. I’ve seen the recycle , the mother, the jet set, the couture and this cocktail dress episodes. I also saw the end of the one before the recycle.
I like seeing the fashions, but the overflow of megalomania is what keeps me coming back.
Can anyone fill me in on why Vincent hated Laura so much? Or why Jeffery hated Allison so much, that he had to make her mom cry? Or is he just that big a jerk?
I was sorry to see Kayne go, Jeffery makes my teeth itch.
I was really surprised by Laura’s dress. I was so sick of seeing the same thing from her week after week. I think she definitely deserved her win.
Jeffrey … well. I hate Jeffrey. But I think he’s talented, and I think he should make the top three. There, I said it. Damn him. And some of his commentary is hilarious, so I have to give him that.
I hope Michael takes the whole thing, though. In addition to always having something fresh and beautiful (and the bunny-ear dress was great, once the ears were tucked down), he’s just a genuinely nice guy.
Angela and Vincent. sigh We will not speak of them.
Uli, like Laura, makes the same damn dress every challenge. I like her dresses, but I don’t think they’re going to get her to the final.
And is anybody else just dying to know what happened to Vincent’s model?
