Every single recurring character. I want to hang with all of them. And some of Shawn’s Miss-es in the early seasons were HOT.
Gus, don’t be the only black lead on a major cable TV show.
I like that they play with meta humor, but they don’t overdo it. And especially that they don’t mug it, just drop a line and move on. I’m sure I’ve missed plenty of subtle ones.
Juliet. Abigail in second, but definitely Juliet.
And since we’re sharing, how about the wonderfully non-so-subtle “hey, way to rip us off, CBS”?
Shawn: You’ve seen The Mentalist, right?
Cop: Yes…
Shawn: It’s like that.
Gus: Except that guy’s a fake.
Shawn: Right…if I were a fake psychic it’s be eerily similar.
Gus: Exactly the same.
Shawn: A virtual carbon copy.
Mary Lightly is a great character. You don’t kill off great characters, but they did.
I don’t find him attractive, not that there’s anything wrong with it.
Oh no! I’m mixing series!
Yea, I wish the show would expand their cast a little, or at least have characters like Mary have more reoccurring appearances. He was a fun character till the killed him off.
I was similarly hoping the Chinese intern would be a more frequently reoccuring character, but while they haven’t killed him off, they don’t seem to be in any hurry to have him make a reappearence.
My favourite guest appearances so far are Judd Nelson, and Freddie Prinze Jr.
Mine is Cary Elwes.
And Ally Sheedy was magnificiently creepy as Yang.
Juliet, all the way. But I didn’t mind Abigail either.
And the best guest star was definitely the twin peaks cast members. That was a fun episode.
Or George Takei.
Oh, definitely Abigail (I’ve had a thing for Rachael Leigh Cook ever since her anti-drug frying pan PSA).
Juliet is a close second.
“That’s not true Shawn” I love the way he says that.
“You hear about Pluto? That’s messed up.”
I love that show. I find it very re-watchable. Not Arrested Development level, it’s not layered like AD is. But I’ve seen each episode multiple times and am not burnt out on them.
Also, Juliet. She’s the best female character TV has ever produced in my opinion.
