Well that went mostly a little better. That olympic mascot round was a bitch. But how else would you score such a round? Any thoughts? THAT’S the round I needed bouncing off, yesterday.

Tonight’s not turning out to be a good night for me either. No can show.

I guess I thought it was a little too much feast or famine. Hard isn’t a problem, I am used to not knowing things. But if you knew it, you got a ton of points, and if you didn’t, you could maybe pick up a few by guessing.
Cervaise, if you do end up being the only one, there are 2 or 3 members of my book showing up, and I told them there’d be a group they could join.

MIL is going home (sorta) tomorrow, so I may make it next week.
Aw man. It was a good quiz. My friends from the book club showed up; did OK. A team that’s been bubbling under lately won, on a fluke: they had a geek that got 11 out of 12 on a round that not everyone did very well on. Based on that, they won the 4th place pitcher, AND then bumped to first place for the pot. The other usual suspects came in third, after a new team that’s never been there before and did really well. Another new team of idiot jerks sat down front. They kept asking me to repeat “all of them.” !!! Like on one round where they got ZERO, as if my doing the round again from scratch, doubling the length of the evening, was gonna help them at all. They even asked me to repeat a scoring round; they’d been dicking around and hadn’t scored the quiz! Then they kept reaching their score sheet toward me, as if I was gonna come down off the stage and collect it. Totally oblivious; they would have been surprised to learn they were being jerks. I hope they had a sucky time; they came in second to last.
I’m very sick; not sure I’ll be recovered in time for Tuesday. Anyone here want to fill in for me? email me, my username @gmail. I’m only able to get vertical a couple times a day, but I will check my email when I can.
In fact, I will be hosting. I’m feverishly compiling questions and plotting my picture rounds. (Insert evil laughter here.)

I’m almost sure I’ll be there. My house has come down with some plumbing issues, so there’s a chance I’ll be forced to stay away, but I’ll try my best. I’ve always wanted to see how ?! does a quiz.

I might be there, and if I make it, there’s a good chance I’ll be late. My in-laws return from Italy this evening, and my husband is picking them up from the airport while I make dinner for all of us. So it kind of depends on when they get in, how tired they are, etc. But if I do come, I’ll bring what’s left of the cake I’m making this afternoon, to make up for my tardiness.
