Just to make it official, rehearsals for my show will have me tied up through mid-February.
I’ll be rarin’ to make a splash on my return, though.
So wear your boots.

Well, I for one will be there with someone from work. Not as exciting as it sounds.
I’ll be showing. Lady Cheek is starting to show signs of the cold I had last week and as such, has stayed home today. If she decides to go, we’ll be there at a relatively decent hour. If she decides not to, and I have to go home first, I’ll be there around 7:30.
I can upgrade from probably to definitely. I have an errand after work but can probably arrive before 7:00.
So my friend from work and I, and our third, and possibly a fourth are planning on going to GnD next week to be the junior varisty version of the Dope team. Looks like the days of two teams may be back for a while, until we all get sick of feeling stupid.
Where/when will next week be? I’m not sure I’d make it anyway, but maybe ( I said that all last year, didn’t I?)
Is the Irish Emmigrant close to Atlantic Street Pizza? (I KNOW its not on Atlantic Street, it’s the name of the pizza, not the street. )
The Irish Immigrant is pretty much right acrss the street from Atlantic Street Pizza. Well, a little bit north and then across the street, but you can see it from there.
There may or may not be a Monday night contingent at the Emigrant – I know I can’t be there, but if enough people want to go, it’s on.
There will most likely be a contingent on Tuesday night at the George & Dragon, unless a lot of people flake out in the meantime.
We look forward to seeing you, when your schedule syncs with ours.
Does either place have traditional dart boards? If so, that could easily make up my mind. I love darts, but not the sissy electronic kind.
Now I’m craving a Garlic Gulch Express. Darn you!
I don’t recall seeing dart boards (soft or steel) at either place. The George & Dragon doesn’t really have the space, but I can’t explain why the Emigrant doesn’t have them.
This thought made me check a place I used to live across the street from: The Old Pequliar in Ballard. It has a very hardcore steel-tip dart crowd, and web reviews of the place say they do trivia on Tuesdays. I haven’t found a website for the business itself, however. Maybe I’ll make time to scout the place out sometime in the coming weeks and find out how their trivia works. Has anyone ever gone to their trivia night?
I vaguely recall seeing a dartboard at the Emigrant, but it’s upstairs.
That would be sweet.
We picked up a pizza from Atlantic Street a couple weeks ago when I noticed the place right next door has steel dart boards. I could stop off over there for my dart fix, before or after trivia.
I have a board here, but I don’t practice much.
No bump yet? I’m expecting to trivia tonight at the George & Dragon. Anyone else?
I expect to be there.
(Hey, stargazer, have you checked your email lately?)
I have a meeting this evening and must flake out.
I too, have a meeting (not the same one, though) this evening and must flake out. Lady Cheek will not be attending either.
Hubby and I have been mulling it over, so I hope someone wil be there!
I’ll check back later today.
(um, just heading that direction. Too many email accounts!)
I might be there tonight, but I also have church stuff to work on, and a party to clean up from, so I might not.
I’ll be there, plus one more. Same guy as last week, but he’s totally bald now, so it might be hard for you to pick out.
