Upon waking up this morning, taking a shower, feeling all bright and shiny new, thoughts collected, something awful descended upon me: I pray to the invisible pink unicorn that **Das Glasperlenspiel ** didn’t ask me “You know Stephen Harper?” and my response was “The name rings a bell”??! Please, someone tell me I didn’t say that… especially since this was before I had even ordered my first beer. I can forgive myself some of the staggering ignorance I displayed last night, as I can always learn. But dear [Bernard] Lord…

We were making fun of how Li’l Georgie Shortpants referred to the Rt. Hon. Mr. Harper as “Steve,” much to Steve’s obvious chagrin. Perhaps you said it to yourself? 'Cause I can’t for the life of me remember hearing you say it.
Fun time had by all, and it was a treat to finally make your acquaintance, even if you did play for…them. Hope to see you again soon.

I do remember that… the rest I must have hallucinated. I’m not quite sure if I’m relieved about that. :eek: I probably dreamt it. I had some messed up dreams last night. Unsurprisingly.

The week after that I’m itching to try someplace new, and I figure Seth can handle it on his own now that he’s done it once. I’ve heard the Kangaroo & Kiwi on Aurora does a Wednesday night quiz . . .

I’d certainly be willing to try out the Kangaroo and Kiwi. I’ve heard (from GP) that the quizmaster has a problem with slurring his words as the evening progresses and the beer flows, but that may just have been on the one night he attended.
