One of these times, I’ll be there for !?'s quiz, but not this week. I should be good for next week, though.
I’m out again this week, damnit. My schedule just got switched all around and threw mine and my husband’s home schedule widdershins, which means I get to spend tonight doing laundry at my FIL’s. I’d pass it over, but then I’d have to go to work naked, and it’s a family store, soo… well, I might be able to get away with it if I were breastfeeding. However, there are so many things wrong with that idea that I’m not even going to touch it.
I’m going to try for next week. Planning ahead might help. Either way, though I’m disappointed I can’t make trivia night this week, the schedule vomitus is actually good news for me, as it means they have decided they like me, and they want me to stay on, and I’m getting a pay raise. Woohoo! I would credit this raise to not showing up to work naked and breastfeeding. But who really knows?
Got milk?
I’m in.
Pretty sure we’re in. I’m not sure if Lady Cheek is on her way to pick me up or not.
She won’t pick up her phone.
Well, that was fun. Those who weren’t there, or those who want to relive the horror, can see all 60 verbal questions here.
Next week we’re doing Wednesday night trivia at the Kangaroo & Kiwi, right? Their website doesn’t list the time, but a couple of web sources indicate it’s 8:30.
FUN?!?!?! It’s not supposed to be fun. You have the SDMB’s, and Cecil’s, honor to uphold. Callong it “fun” means you lost.
I have to move out there once and for all.
A VISUAL round? What is this, Jeopardy? In two years this contest has been turned into something for (choose one):
A. Women
B. Wimps
C. Losers
D. All of the above.
Okay, I’d kick ass in a visual round, but my point is that any one of YOU would, too. A question isn’t worth answering unless there’s a chance that a bunch of smart people around a table might get it WRONG.
Hey, Ague, how’s the MORE lovely than you say, Lady Ague? Those were your folks i was hanging out with, right? They doing well?
Good Lord, I want to live someplace without mosquitos.
I most wholeheartedly disagree!
You’ll note, we are no longer at the George and Dragon. Rather, we are playing at the Old Pequliar with a different system. And one, we think, that works quite well. The visual rounds are quite stimulating and fun. Definitely fun for Interrobang!?, 'cuz he’s the guy that was asking us the questions that stumped us and forced us to settle for 2nd Place (Yes. The 1st Loser ;))
On to other things - Lady Cheek is alive and well, and still making sure that I don’t dress all funny every day. Additionally, those were indeed my folks you were hanging out with. My mom, Das Glasperlenspiel, and my dad…Dad. Brother, to you.
Dad’s just finished his Master’s in Theology, and from what I understand (I might be wrong, here), might soon be soliciting a nearby Bishop for a parish in the interior of BC. If so, they’ll be moving out and coming down to visit all that more often! Which is fine, 'cause there’s no mosquitoes here.
When’re you coming out next? We’ll have to show you what type of match Interrobang!? can come up with…
Hubby isn’t thrilled with the idea of me going to that neighborhood at night. I’ll take him on a drive by to check it out later today. It sounds like I won’t be coming any more if it stays there.
I’ll post when he decides, later.
So Dad would go from Brother to Father?
Some people are attracted by the climate, others by the terrain, but what I like most about Seattle is that total lack of mosquitos.
We’re not talking about staying there – just trying somewhere different for a week. I’m sure we’ll regularly come back to the Old Pequliar (well, I know I’ll be back, but I’m sure others on the team will play there again) and continue to try other places as well.
It isn’t totally lacking. I’m almost positive I got bitten a few times as a kid, when out hiking in the woods or something.
Probably.
I’m almost sure I’m clear every day next week, so I’ll be back then.
I’ll be there on Wednesday.
I shall not be there this week, as much as I love and respect both the Kangaroos and the Kiwis. I hope everyone has a gonzers time. Or some other suitable Aussie saying.
We’ll stick a shrimp up the Barbie for you, or whatever it is they say.
I’m planning on attending tonight.
I’m confirming I’ll be there.
Apparently last night there were 14 teams again at the OP. First/second/third went to teams that scored 45/44/43 points. Sweet!
I’ll be there. I might even show up early to check out their six-dollar fish-and-chips.
On the K&K website, it does say 8:30 for the trivia. It’s hidden on the Daily Specials page. Cervaise made me look there.
We’re not in. Looking at houses again.
How many of those friggin’ things are there out there?
