She’s a cute little wisp of a kitten. (Of course, that may not last as she grows up. The little wisp bit, that is. She’ll stay cute.)
Why not wait a few days and see if she names herself? My old man cat, Shiva, didn’t get dubbed for almost a month. He kept pushing breakable objects off of high places, you see.
There’s only one name for that kitten and that name is “Tibby.”
He looks exactly like my Tibby when he was a kitten. He’s a rescue cat. A lady (aunt of a friend) was in her back yard when she saw a large owl swoop down and grab the kitten by the head with it’s talons and start to fly off with him. She ran after them and luckily spooked the owl into dropping the kitten before they got too high in the air (she claims from a height of ~10’). The kitten sustained a bloodied head, a permanently bent ear (gives him character) and a deep scar on his forehead.
Tibby’s about 2 years old now and he’s quite naughty, but very nice—about the sweetest cat I’ve ever owned, in fact. Follows me everywhere. Always wants to snuggle. Very chatty. Good sense of humor. He’s always giving me this “romantic” look, but he hasn’t acted on it, so no problem.
I’ve had an uninterrupted succession of cats since I was born (61 years ago) and they were all named Tibby. Well, most of them anyway. When we had a second cat at the same time, we named her Libby. The only outlier was Iggy—that was one nutty cat.
Tibby is the best name for a tabby. It’s good enough for me, too! Your kitten would be proud to have a name like that.
Alternately, it could be Lady Jane (Grey) I knew a boodstore cat that was named that, back in the early 80’s in Chicago. She was a gorgeous long-haird Persian.
