Me thinks I’m getting a cold.
This sucks.
Anyone want to tuck me into bed and make me chicken soup?
ETA: 1st on three- I guess that is the upside of my cold.

I was wondering when Passover would be celebrated. I didn’t think Purim and Passover were usually that close together, but my acquaintance with Jewish holidays is pretty general, so I figured I could be wrong.
Hi Zev! As McUne said, we tend to have multiple threads of conversation going inside a single MMP. This is really an astonishingly on-topic MMP. Also, we tend to use nicknames for people’s nicknames, so if you’re wondering why all these people who haven’t posted are being discussed, it’s probably the nickname factor. Feel free to ask if you’re confused. I think I told you this over in your thread, but I think it’s really cool to see how your kids have grown over the years. And, even though I’ve meant to, I still think I haven’t ever had any Hamantaschen.
Thanks for the dissertation on the date for Easter, swampy. I’m very grateful for reliable calendars that allow me to look up the actual date. (timeanddate.com is my friend.) I have 5 (I think) sets of holidays set up in Outlook at work (U.S., Mexican, German, Jewish, Muslim) so that I know when various friends and family are observing various events.
So, taxi, do you have an actual idea for a holiday celebration MMP? Would you like Monday, since rosie has offered it up, if you’re interested? Sorry about your work stress, too. Can you set up an on-call rotation in your group so that you’re not stuck with it every week?
Hi mmmmmmmmmmms! Make sure it’s not caving in on you!!!
Sorry about the fire, Bobbio; sounds like no fun. But thanks again for the important work you do.
You’re looking very spiffy and ready to celebrate, Mr. Towers. (Explain to me why I was thinking you were in California…?)
I forgot to wear green today! I was going to wear my nice, subtle little shamrock earrings that I’ve had for just about ever (14K gold and everything!) and COMPLETELY forgot. Oh well.
Feel better, rosie.
I’m so glad the funeral was really personal, LiLi. It’s so much nicer when people talk about the actual person and not some idealized image of them. Hugs.
Hugs for Hank, too.
And for beebs cuz it will outrage him. Or something.
Those cats are really funny, Aleq. You and beebs need to have a contest. I especially loved the eggs one. (I don’t often actually LOL, but I did with that one.)
Long day, but I actually got quite a bit done at work. I’m thinking I won’t do much tonight, though, because I’m rather tired…
Off to surf a bit, then to beddie bye.

Welcome to the folks we don’t see around here very often (if ever)! And don’t worry if you don’t know what’s going on; none of us knows what’s going on. That’s the beauty of the place, it means nobody can do it wrong because nobody knows what doing it right would be.
I have been a good girl and worked moderately hard today, but as the day has progressed I have had a headache that is getting worse and worse. And then Papa Tigs came home with the same stupid headache. Plus he swears it has to be at least Thursday, because he put in three days at work today. I hate days like that myself, so he has my sympathy. So dinner was courtesy of Papa John’s.
And now to go watch some mindless TV and try to get this headache back down to just mildly throbbing instead of furiously pounding.
Incidentally, I didn’t win the ugly house. Some young fambly of 4 in Iowa won it. So much for a MumperFest in the Keys…
I’m freezing here. It’s nuts. I’m wearing a cardigan and I have an afghan wrapped around me, and I’m still freezing. But I’ve got the bed cranked up to the highest setting, so when we go back, it should be nice and warm. I hope. brrrrrrrr
I think it’s because I have a serious chocolate defiency. That’s the only logical explanation.
Oh. VunderKind is in Indianapolis. I was going to have you look him up.
<tears up plane tickets to Miami and points south>
I love the Orange tabby cat lolcat, and the egg one. (orange smiley, of course)
I am off to a hot bath and bad TV again. I am out of books to read (horror!). I just want to veg. Work was good today–Annoying Ethnic Coworker wasn’t there, so we all got along like the UN at a cocktail party. It was very nice.
I had a confused elderly lady who called me “girlfriend” all day. She cracked my shit right up. “Oh me, oh my, girlfriend, you gonna get out?.” “Get out?” “yeah, girlfriend, get out–it’s time for you to go!” (not at all sure what she meant. Guess you had to be there). Love old women (not really, but I liked this one a whole lot). Her daughter was sweet, too–very nice to see.
Grr…The board was out again or something, I typed up this nice post and then couldn’t get it posted. Luckily I didn’t lose it. So, for your reading pleasure, without further ado…
Wow…It’s been a busy Monday. Let me try to remember everything I wanted to say. Sometimes I think I need to take notes as I read the MMP
McUne $84 is not all that much to pay for good comfy shoes. I know it’s hard to justify that kind of expense, but you must take care of teh foots. They is very important, and achy foots are no fun.
FCM as you know chocolate is very important. :: offers some M&Ms and/or Cadbury eggs ::
Rigs  how can our budding librarian be out of books to read?? That’s awful.
:: makes some chicken soup for Rosie & Soapy and takes it to her on a try :: Feel better soon!!!
(((((Haze)))))
)))))Beebs((((( antihugs for you, Beebs.
Good Hamantaschen is wonderful stuff, Zev. I’ve never had it homemade before. My boyfriend’s mom sent it from a bakery on Long Island, but now she moved to Texas, so we probably won’t get any this year.
I like the lolcat looking for the eggs too, Aleq.
Nice outfit Argent.
Welcome to the MMP guys!! Don’t let us scare you away. We’re a great bunch of bananas.

:: rubs eyes :: Am I seeing double?
Thanks for the hugs, everyone. It wasn’t anything in particular. Just . . . general frustration that I’ve been feeling nowadays. Blech.
mmouse is pposting ttwice.
There is nothing on, AGAIN. God, I hate TV. There is never anything on. So, I’m bored.
The boards have been so f’ed up that I’ve stayed away today…so the MMP goes to page three???
You people talk too much.
Anti-hugs?
Hah!!!
I yam ze invizible to yer hugz.

Seriously.
Wife is watching the dancing show she DVR’d. Some devastatingly cute english chick is ‘dancing’ around Penn Gilette. He should make himself disappear, that would be good trick.
Daily Show: stocks before whore means we’re all poor.
I love Jon Stewart.
See!!!
See!
I’m not all mean this week!
Tanks for the props on me katz–that orange bastid is my own monsterface Pratchett in an uncharacteristically chilled out mood… The eggz one is a pic I just stumbled on and I love how HUUUUUGE that cat looks next to the birdhouse!
So I’m watching “Canterbury’s Law” and laughing at how fast TV people get over being punched in the beezer; not a mark on 'er. Sure wish it worked that way for me, but in the real world she’d be sporting two black eyes and probably a nice bandage for her broken nose.
Anybody else watching “New Amsterdam” tonite?
Hey, can I have a couple of them there Cadbury mini-eggs I thought I saw someone bogarting? I ran out, snivel… : pouts:
Stop being so grumpy there, beebs or somebody gonna give you what Ms Margulies got, just sayin’…
nom nom nom, Cadbury eggses…
Er…thanks?
I just got back from the bar crawl. Several different girls actually physically grabbed me and hit on me, telling me how much they loved my outfit.
(They were hot, for the record.)
I also got 19 Guinness pint glasses and 2 Smithwick’s glasses, one Bushmills tumbler and two snifters. One of the bars I was at let everyone keep their glasses. In addition to all the glasses we drank, there were even more left over by the people who were at our table before us. They even gave us a BOX to take them home in. I just put them all in the dishwasher.
Clark’s are good shoes. I have a pair of sandals that are four years old that I wear whenever I can get away with it (not often, cuz I have to wear steel toes at work). Love love love them. I also have a pair of dressy clogs by them (I think, pretty sure) that are comfy.
I find it’s a worthy investment to buy good shoes, my feet hurt less now and though I still buy at payless sometimes I’m picky about what shoes I’ll buy.
Happy Purim/St. Patrick’s Day/Rubber band day. I worked, and now drinking Yuengling and eating chicken and rice. My LOLcat. Great OP, Lunch!
Haze, lgkjiegjeerner? hofhafnweelskfndsl!
Welcome newbies, did you bring beer?
Wow, I thought it would be easier to catch up on a Monday.
When I was growing up, we had these little illustrated books that were like Little Golden Books, but biblical and my favorite was one was Esther. My family was Armstrongist , so we celebrated an assortment of Old Testament holidays.
Hmm, I must loopier from the Maxalt than I realized.
Anyway, work is keeping me very busy during the day, which is great, but I do miss the MMP.
Speaking of work, we have an urgent, mandatory meeting for administrative staff. The betting heavily favors an office reorg of some kind. Or pink slips. It would be rather peculiar to pink slip the administrative staff while undergoing an orgy of hiring professional staff, but stranger things have happened. Or it could be the unspeakable, which is why none of us is speaking of it. Ooh, I am loopy. Time for bed, I think.
