Regarding the bonobo thing: Yeah, I caught it too. It really was a WTF moment for me, as I’ll watch any Animal Planet special with apes or monkeys in it, so I was familiar with bonobos. But don’t forget, the Wish-A-Wish lady was crazy. She either didn’t know the monkey wasn’t a bobnobo, or just didn’t care and decided to call it a bonobo just for the hell of it. That’s my fanwank excuse, anyway.
That may not be the case with Chuck’s hair. Just sayin’.
So what would ultimately happen to somebody who had been revived but not re-deadified? Could Chuck be immortal, or might she just live an ordinary lifespan and die of old age? What if she was to die again from, say, a car crash? Could Ned revive her a second time?
We’re not sure. Digby is an awfully spry dog for a 20something, though. The Rule has been stated that “Dead again, dead forever,” but that’s if Ned touches again. I don’t think we’ve seen anyone killed from natural causes *after *Ned’s brought them back, have we?
This the kind of random comment I really like.
That’s my take on it so far. Chuck may be in for a very long life. Of course she also might die when Ned dies.
I was wondering about Digby. Didn’t Ned revive him before he revived his mother? If so, how did he know not to touch the dog, or let the dog touch him?
There’s a scene in a later episode that implies that Digby knew not to touch (or be touched by) Ned again… it’s specifically stated when Digby is running to him at the school that they ‘both’ knew. (Do we even see Digby in later scenes on that fateful day?)
My first thought with this is that there are people who would claim that “ain’t” isn’t word. So I decided to look up ginormous. Seems it has made the cut.
I think it’s strange that Digby seems “intact”. :dubious: Chuch was suffocated, but Digby was hit by a car. That would’ve broken a few bones, yet whenever somebody is revived they still have whatever injuries they got when they died. Or do injuries heal if they pass the 60 second mark?
I have sadly had a dog hit by a car at 45 mph. She showed no obvious external injury but she died shortly in my arms. So, I would think Digby had only internal damage and the being brought back allowed him to move and act fairly normal. He is abnormally smart in addition to being well-preserved.

I also had a dog hit by a car. The car that hit her threw her at least 6 feet. There were no sign of injury at all - not even a scape, but she was gone within 10 minutes as I sped to the vet. THe vet said he didn’t feel any broken bones and figured there were massive internal injuries. If only I’d had Ned’s touch.

I know many **Pushing Daisies ** fans were also fans of Dead Like Me.
Apparently **Dead Like Me ** might get a second life in 2008, sadly without Mandy Patinkin. Strange, but I am very happy to see that Christine Willes as Delores Herbig. She currently has a small wonderful role on Reaper.
